Jake spit back into the sink and rinsed his toothbrush, stepping out of the bathroom. He ran a hand through his light brown hair and looked around for a second, before slipping off into the upper wing sleeping quarters.

No one was allowed in this section since Kaisen's room lit up in flames, but Jake felt it... drawing him towards it. Something about it just... felt so magnetizing.

As he walked through the corridor, he heard something... familiar. Humming. It was a strange tune, but Jake was very familiar with it.

The 16 year old boy roamed through the halls and came to a corner and someone skipping across the hallway caught the corner of his eye. Jake spun around in haste. "Who is it? Micheal? Ethan? Come on guys, this isn't funny. Please stop messing with me."

More footsteps. This time behind him.

Again, Jake spun around. "W-Who is it? Come out please this... this isn't funny anymore." An airy voice giggled and Jakes heart skipped a beat. "K-Kaisen?" he whispered.

Kaisen stepped out of his burnt room, looking no different than when he was alive for the most part. With a black jean jumper and black and white striped shirt.

His curly black hair like a small cloud fluffing around his face, and a red flower crown on his head. He held a red lollipop in his hand, but scars and burn marks covered every part of his body.

Jake stepped backwards, tears in his eyes but Kaisen grabbed his hands. "I... I d-don't want t-to hurt you." Kaisen whispered. "Not yet at least." Kaisen stared at Jake, his lifeless black eyes piercing through his former bully's heart. "I... I'm sorry." Jake whispered, tears falling from his eyes rapidly as his complexion paled.

Kaisen laughed. "I could never hate you. You are my brother after all." he smiled. Jake let go of Kaisen's hands and stepped backwards.

"This... this is insane. You... you're supposed to be dead." he mumbled to himself in disbelief. Kaisen stepped towards Jake, but he stepped back before running away at top speed and down the stairs into his dorm.

He slammed the door behind him and leaned against it, breathing heavily as tears fell down his face. Ethan looked up from where he was reading on his bed, and Micheal sat up from his top bunk. Seeing Jake's panicked state, Ethan jumped up and went over to his brother, putting his hands on his shoulders.

"Jake, what happened? What's wrong? You look like you've just seen a ghost." Jake sank to the floor and put his hands on his head, burying his face in his knees.

"K-K-Kaisen. I s-saw him." he stuttered. Micheal furrowed his brows. "Are you sure? It's been an entire week since he died."

Jake wiped his face and exhaled. "I went to his room and he was there. Humming that weird tune that he always did."

Ethan's shoulders dropped and he shook his head. "Look Jae, I know that you feel bad for hurting Kaisen. I do too, but... I'm going to have to agree with Micheal. Kaisen is dead. You're probably just hallucinating from stress," he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.

Jake took a few deep breaths. "Y-You're right. I'm just going crazy. I'm... I'm gonna take a nap." he muttered, crashing on his bed. He was out cold in a matter of minutes.

Nothing was heard except the soft pattering of rain and howling of the wind outside of the window of the three boy's dorm.

"Hey... Ethan." Micheal mumbled, staring at the ceiling. "Mm. What is it?" Ethan replied, still glued to his book. "Do you... do you really think that Jake may have seen Kaisen? I mean, with the journal and everything it... it's not too unlikely. And on top of that, he was pale as hell. I don't think that something he imagined could have been that scary... could it?"

Ethan sighed, pursing his lips. "I don't really want to think about the journal right now... but yeah. I've been scared to go to sleep these past days. I hate it. This constant fear and regret of everything that we did to Kaisen. It's true that he was a weird kid but... I don't know." Ethan replied, putting a bookmark in his book and closing it, leaning back on his hands.

"I just want things to go back to normal." he mumbled softly.

Micheal scoffed. "Tch. All this thinking is making my head hurt. I'm gonna take a nap. You probably should as well. I think it's what we need right now." the blue eyed boy suggested, fluffing his pillow and laying down his head.

"Yeah. Heh, that's probably what's best."
