as promised, here is your "extras" chapter. i'll be writing down insider of this story and the characters to go with it. enjoy "bittersweet" while you read. (tell me if the vid works but if not, oh well...)

kim mingyu

kim mingyu was 12 when he met his best friend, jeon wonwoo. he had ran away from home and wandered into a narrow alley that was surrounded by houses but no people seemed to be out. it was raining hard that night, he didn't blame anyone. mingyu didn't know he liked wonwoo since they were kids, but once ha-yi showed up, he was more oblivious than ever. his favorite pass-time activity is to go bowling because it's what he and his mother used to do when he was younger. mingyu shared a set of airpods with wonwoo, but before ha-yi came along, he secretly bought his own pair just in case. he used them when he was in isolation.

jeon wonwoo

jeon wonwoo was always a quiet kid. once he made friends with mingyu, however, he became more outgoing. his family was quite poor, but he insisted he get airpods that mingyu and him could share, because they both love music. they used those airpods for twelve years, to listen to their favorite music together. without thinking, when ha-yi and him are out, he gives mingyu's airpod to ha-yi so they can listen to music together.

lee ha-yi

lee ha-yi is a hardworking girl that wants to make her parents proud. her dream was to get a job in the states, make a good amount of money, and allow herself and her family happiness. to earn money in the meantime, she worked at a changwon bar. while in changwon, she makes two great friends—mingyu and wonwoo.

i. the girl at the cafe
-mingyu meets ha-yi at the cafe he goes to for a daily cup of coffee.

ii. bar lights
-wonwoo was grabbing a drink at the bar to unwind when a black-haired girl catches his eye.

iii. a best friend's story
-mingyu and wonwoo weren't friends since birth. they had to meet somehow.

iv. troubled soul
-wonwoo tells mingyu that he likes this girl named ha-yi. next thing he knows, he comes out of a bar with her hat. he knows he's losing.

v. dinner, love?
-wonwoo invites ha-yi to eat with him at a fast-food restaurant.

vi. please be there
-knowing the situation he's in, he really hopes ha-yi is still there waiting at the cafe even though he's running late. thankfully, she is.

vii. the flowers are wilted
-mingyu is getting hopeless and doesn't go out as much anymore. it's a rainy week in changwon.

viii. shattered glass
-wonwoo is mad at mingyu for not responding to his texts, and gets devastated by it. thankfully he has ha-yi to keep him happy. mingyu has a peculiar dream.

ix. getting closer(lmao)
-wonwoo and ha-yi just get closer while mingyu is left alone. while walking through the rain, he spots them through a window.

x. streetlights and neon signs
-mingyu can't stay hidden forever, and he's starting to grow okay with his friend's relationship. he decides to take a night walk when the weather is clear, and runs into ha-yi and wonwoo. his dream comes true.

xi. dreams
-wonwoo and ha-yi have to go their separate ways, but promise to come back to mingyu. mingyu makes his way home and pieces together his dream.

xii. i need to speak my mind
-mingyu and wonwoo meet at the alley they first meeting was at and talk with each other. mingyu knows who he likes.

xiii. rainfall showers against us, together
-suddenly it starts to rain, and wonwoo and mingyu enjoy it against their skin together.

end. cuddles, coffee, couples, and a cafe
-i talk about how this story came to be, questions wanting to be answered, and if i'm up to make a sequel.
