Lan Xichen was happy, Zhen Huatian will open her heart to him, then his efforts were not wasted. He entered one of the classes for literature and started to mentor the young cultivators. A rare smile on his face made some of the female cultivators to go in a daze and stare at Lan Xichen with a bewitched expression on their faces. As for the male cultivators, they were busy seizing up and taking some mental notes on how to woo their crush from the Sect leader. 

Lan Xichen was busy the whole day, however, his aura and expression were enough for the young cultivators to get the hint that something was up with the Sect Leader of the Gus Lan Sect. The servants were tight-lipped when the students asked and inquired about the Sect Leader, but amongst themselves, they were secretly gossipping about the two. 

"The Lady will be talking to the Sect Leader later in her courtyard, we should dress her more splendidly and add some light makeup on her face to make her more glowing and beautiful!"

"Fool! The Lady doesn't need any makeup at all! We can add the rouge to her lips later so the Sect Leader will get enticed and kiss her!"

The maidservants momentarily squealed in delight before calming themselves down. 

"By the way, about the Sect leader's words on assigned two personal maids to the Lady, who would the Sect Leader choose?" They gossiped and looked at each other. Each maidservant is special and has their own good and bad points, however, if they are two and could cover the other's fault, wouldn't that mean that they will be the perfect pair?!

"Li-er, I just remembered that you are not good with making tea but could decide on the perfect robe to dress on different occasions,"

"Ying-er knows how to use talisman and create pastries while I can create different hairstyles and tea!"

"I can...."

"And she can..."

The discussion for who will be the pair that will be suited to service the Lady lasted until five pm. When they stopped the discussion, the Sect Leader was already in the main hall of the servant's quarters and was waiting for them to come. The maidservants hurriedly fixed themselves before uniformly went to the main hall and greeted the Sect Leader respectfully. 

Lan Xichen nodded at them before he looked at the two rows of female servants. He cleared his throat before announcing to them,

"As I had said earlier, I will assign two personal maidservants for Lady Huatian. The personal maids should be competent and doesn't need to fussy about other things. They should also prioritize the needs and desires of the Lady, and only oppose if it risks their or someone else's life. Who can I leave this task for?" Lan Xichen asked them who were all listening attentively to his requirements. 

Two mades looked at each other before stepping forward and kowtowing to the Sect leader, before speaking. 

"Sect Leader, these servants wants to serve the Lady, please choose these servants!" They maintained they position while everyone else bowed deeper. Lan Xichen pondered and looked at all of them, it seems that they have already discussed it to themselves and chose the best pair out of all of them. 

Lianting and MianMian are truly the best in terms of cooperating and achieving the most satisfactory results when working together, Lan Xichen nodded and approved them as the personal maids of Lady Huatian. 

"Thanking Sect Leader for your grace!" Lianting and MianMian thanked Lan Xichen before they let them stand up first and announced something to the servants. 

"The Lady and I will talk about our relationship, Just now that it was I, that was pursuing her and not the other way around. I would appreciate it if nobody will dare to slander her and make her uncomfortable. I also advice the both of you to give her some space when she wants it. Lastly, do not let the Elder to know about this first, not while I am unsure of the feelings of the Lady." Lan Xichen told them and they all said yes before they were dismissed. 

Lianting and MianMian were both hold back by the Sect Leader and they patiently waited for his words. 

"The two of you, I want you both to know that the Lady is a bit special, however, her expertise may bring her some prejudice about her skills so do not offend the Lady. I will not forgive anyone who will slight her. " Lan Xichen said in a grave and the two tacitly agreed to him, after that, they were sent to the Lady's courtyard with her dinner and her change of clothes. 

Lianting who was holding the tray of the robe with one hand, gently knocked on the door and called for the Lady. 

"Greetings to Lady, Can these servants come inside and serve your dinner and change of clothes?" She asked in a soft and respectful tone. However, when they heard the voice of the Lady, both were wide-eyed from shock! The lady... Did she cry? Whatever happened to make her cry?

Surppressing the curiosity inside of their hearts, they opened the door and went inside, Placing the tray of the robe ontop of the flatchest at the foot of the bed and the tray of food at the table in the receiving room. 

"This... Lady Huatian?" MianMian took the lead and gently called for the Lady. They both heard her sniffling before the person on the bed shifted before the thin curtains were drawn back and the lady stood up from the bed. 

Both saw her reddened eyes and the tiredness on her face, immediately, Lianting excused herself to get a clothe soak in warm water to wipe her face, While MianMian pulled the chair for the Lady to sit down and pour her a cup of jasmine tea to drink.

Seeing that she has calmed down and regained her composure, the two of them didn't dare to comment and obediently went to the side of the room and let the Lady eat in peace.
