Patrick's pov:

After the bell rang, I waited at my car for Jake and Claire, I saw Jake in the distance jogging to my car. I knew I had to tell him how I felt about Claire, I mean, I don't stand a chance with her against him. "Hey Jake, I thought that I should let you know that I have feelings for Claire. I've liked her for a while now and I don't really know how to tell her." Jake nodded and told me that he would talk to her for me. Claire soon found my car and we were off. As I drove Jake and Claire back to my house, I knew my mother would not be home. I didn't want to see her after that conversation. Claire had hopped into the backseat and Jake went and joined her, it seemed a little weird but I was hoping that he was going to talk to her for me. They talked for a while but soon stopped, did Jake mess up, does Claire not feel the same way? Thoughts rushed through my mind the whole way to my house. I parked and I watched Jake hop out, he winked at me. Waves of relief filled my body, maybe he did it, maybe she likes me back. Jake went to Claire's side to let her out, I walked to the door to unlock it. I heard shuffling behind me as I struggled to get the door open, after a few moments, it unlocked. I turned around to see Jake talking with Claire through my dark tinted windows. "Come on Too-san, stop flirting with Jake! He doesn't like you idiot." I said in a sarcastic yet slightly meaningful way. Was Jake flirting with her or was I making up stuff in my head. We went inside and got straight to work, as we were working, I noticed Jake and Claire couldn't stop making eye contact. They never left each other's sight, out of jealousy I shouted, "Can you guys just knock it off already." I said in a cynical tone as i walked to get myself water to cool down. "Do you guys want anything to drink?" I shouted as I grabbed my water. "Can we both get waters please?" Jake said from the living room, I went to grab another water but there were none left. "Oh we ran out, i'm going to the garage to get more." I shuffled to the garage and began to cool down. I suddenly realized that Claire Toussaint was in my house, MY house. The thought of her long hair and her soothing laugh rushed through my mind as I grabbed more waters. I walked back inside with a smile plastered on my face from the thought of her. I skipped over to bring them both there water, I hadn't been gone for more than a few minutes. I turned the corner to look into the living room we were working in. I look at the couch to see my best friend and the girl of my dreams kissing. I stood there in shock, but they didn't notice me. My heart broke into pieces, I wanted to cry but no tear s came to my eyes. I felt everything and nothing all at the same time. The water bottles fell out of my hands which startled them and they pulled away. All I could hear was the water bottles bouncing on the floor. I could see Jake's lips moving, denying everything but I didn't hear a single word come out of his mouth. All I could do was stand and watch as Jake started to walk towards me. "out." I said was a numb look glossed over my face. Jake looked at him with his idiot confused face, knowing my feelings for her, "What, what do you mean out?" he said in an innocent tone. The numb feeling turned into anger, all of my emotions began to rush back to me, "Get out of my house! Both of you!" I yelled while looking at my feet and pointing to the door. I didn't look up until i heard the front door shut, I fell to my knees, tears rushing down my face. I couldn't trust anyone, not her, not him, not parents, no one...
