They technically have a quirk, but it's not very useful in hero work or something. It's called, Blade Works. Essentially it's a blacksmith skill, but there is no need in the quirk world. Therefore, it's useless. But for Akaya, it has 2 different effects, as with their magic latent ability awakened from swords, they can create temporary astral blades. To launch at enemies and create sword souls.

They have a similar skill to Jin-Woo's army gathering, but they are in the form of blades. And the foot soldiers are really weak. Like ancient soldiers. But the higher tier ones, similar to the shadow army, can have names and abilities. They all stems from the monsters they killed or the people's soul they claim.

For now, Akaya only has monster souls, but has a couple of strong ones with unique abilities.

They are a sword fanatic, and met Jin-Woo when he, his wife, kid, sister, mother and father were here. A dungeon gate exploded and many monsters started crawling out. The kid was prepared to die to save his brother and friend. But a voice called for him to take the sword. Which he took and the spirit of the previous sword emperor lent his powers to the kid. Who slayed the monsters in his path and collected the souls of the fallen.

Jin-Woo and Hae-In arrived to see a slaughterhouse of monsters, with one person in the middle. The lady was able to calm the child, only for them to get attacked and injured. Leaving a nasty scar of their back.

They sent the child to the hospital and became friends with his mother and Inko. Su-Ho is really close to Akaya and they are partners-in-crime. As Jin-Woo trains the both of them with their gifts.

Akaya learnt to speak korean to talk to his teacher and best friend.

Akaya has a blade which can open a gate to somewhere in the world, as long as the spot has a waypoint which was created by him. He has one in Korea, to join his teacher and best friend in hunts.

There are still hunter guilds in the world. But not as many after the great war ended.

Most of Akaya's daggers are low soldiers, the higher generals are full blades and has names. Elias is a defense barrier type, Phoenixa is a healing and restore type, Eden is a debuff, healing and barrier type. Not as good as Elias, but enough for Akaya.
