XLV. DUE

Shell Cottage made Winnifred feel safe. They'd been there for a few months now, and Winnifred had gotten huge. She'd been spending a lot of time with Clara, who felt like a third wheel to Bill and Fleur. She talked about Charlie, and how handsome she thought he was.

Winnifred was nearing her due date, and was growing nervous. She was scared of being a bad mother, but Fred assured her that she would be perfect. She couldn't help but to wonder what house the twins would be sorted into when they were old enough to go to Hogwarts. Would Hogwarts still be around, or would Voldemort have destroyed it by then?

Winnifred worried for Harry, Ron, and Hermione. There had been no word from them for months now. With Dumbledore dead, she was truly afraid. Winnifred supposed that she always thought Dumbledore would have defeated Voldemort; but it had to be Harry.

Molly Weasley would be arriving in a few days to help with the birth, as she was the only one who really knew what to do. After all, Molly did have seven kids. Arthur and Remus would be coming along with her.

Winnifred and Fred had made George the twins' Godfather, and Prim their Godmother. The two were still denying they were in a relationship.

"So you 'ave ze names ready?" Though Clara had been working on her english, her accent was still very thick. Winnifred nodded, putting a hand over her stomach.

"We've definitely decided on Sirius for a boy. We haven't got a clue what we want to do for a middle name."

"Prom still stands." Prim said from the kitchen. Winnifred chuckled. She never thought she'd be having children so early, but she was still delighted.

It all happened so fast, and Winnifred was in a panic. Her water had broke and she was laying on a bed with Fred stroking her head, telling her it was going to be alright, and Molly preparing her. She was sweaty, and aching all over. She hoped this would be fast.

However, as luck would have it, it took fourteen hours before the first baby was delivered. The girl had been born first, and seven minutes later, the boy had finally arrived.

When they were ready, they let the residents of Shell Cottage into see the happy couple and their kids.

Remus held the girl, and George held the boy.

"Will you finally tell us our grandchildren's names? You've been keeping it a secret for so long!" Molly pleaded, standing next to George.

"Well, for the boy, we've decided on Sirius Dean Cedric Weasley. Though I'm sure Prim is upset that we didn't go with her choice."

"Whatever, his name will be Sirius Prom Weasley to me." Prim crossed her arms. Everyone chuckled, and waited for the other name.

"Well, Uncle Remus, you're holding Eva Moony Weasley." Winnifred told him. His eyes widened before filling with tears.

"You named her after me?" He asked.

"You will always be the man who protected me, treated me as his own, and loved me. Of course I named her after you. Eva is after my Mum, of course." said Winnifred.

"Oh, Phoenix, you have had your hand wrapped around my finger since you were born." Remus smiled, handing the baby to Molly so he could wipe
his tears.

"Speaking of which, I wonder which one will inherit the phoenix gene." Prim wondered.

"I hope we don't have to find out soon." Knowing that to pass on the phoenix gene, she would have to die.

George's eyes widened as he held baby Sirius.

"Well I don't think it's this one..." He said, confusing the rest of the room.

"What are you on about?" Fred asked his brother.

"Sirius' hair just turned blue!" The room gasped, but Prim was the loudest of all.

"He takes after his Auntie Prim!" She squealed, turning her hair blue to match.

After much needed sleep, Winnifred left the twins in their cribs, not straying far from them. Everyone sitting at the table looked serious, which confused Winnifred and Fred. Just hours ago, everyone had been full of laughter and cheers.

"I'll look after ze babies!" Clara exclaimed, putting a smile on her face. Winnifred nodded, furrowed her eyebrows. She sat down at the table, and was immediately given a sandwich by Molly. She wasn't complaining — she was starving.

She could hear the twins giggling upstairs, where Clara was. "Sirius 'as whiskers!" She shouted, and the new parents laughed.

"Why the grim faces?" Fred asked, taking a bite out of his own sandwich. Winnifred was also confused as to why she didn't see Prim or George anywhere.

The adults looked at each other, debating who should tell them. Remus spoke up.

"Ted Tonks was murdered by snatchers. Someone found his body. Prim and George are at Andromeda's now, along with Dora. I'll be heading there soon." Remus explained.

"Oh Merlin..." Winnifred put her hand over her mouth. Ted had always been so kind. When she'd stayed with them for the summer, he insisted on playing quidditch with her in the yard, saying he wanted to see if she was Holyhead Harpies material, though he only just wanted to play for fun.

"He was a muggle-born, wasn't he? That's why they did this?" Fred asked, and Remus nodded. They sat in silence for a few moments. Ted Tonks would surely be remembered highly, and never forgotten. This war was taking too many people.

How many more people was she going to have to lose? She didn't want to think about it.

"There's one more thing..." Remus hesitated.

"What is it?" Winnifred asked, hopeful for
good news, though it was rare these days.

"Remus, are you sure now is the right time to tell her? She's just given birth for Godric's sake!" Molly exclaimed.

"Yes, Molly, I think now is the time to tell her."

"Tell me what?"

"Luna was taken by death eaters on the train to Hogwarts. We can't find her." Remus told Winnifred.
