Her eyes were closed but now theyre open she took a few steps back.

You scared me

Im sorry I didnt mean to I took two steps towards her. So how will you get home?

Walk, I live a couple blocks from here. She pushed back a few strands of hair behind her ear. How is it that Im just now meeting this girl? I gestured for her to lead the way, and she did.

What did you say your name was?

I didnt say it, but its Adam

Im Samantha, but you already knew that. She gave a nervous laugh.

I havent seen you around before Sam, are you new?

Actually, no Im not Ive lived here since forever, not every one notices me so maybe thats the case.

Yeah, but whats there to not notice, your stunning Her smile grew so wide that I thought if she had waited a second more her lips would have torn in two.

We walked in silence. It's not an awkward silence, it's a comfortable one. We walked for what felt like years.

Then we stopped before a small but elegant house with lights on.

Well this is me, thank you for walking me home. Goodnight She turned to walk away

Wait; could you give me your number so you know we could text, maybe call?

Sure. she said quickly ahh I mean, yeah i can give you my number. I handed her my phone. It was nice meeting you Adam

You too Samantha, we could walk around the block a couple times next time

I pulled out my phone and texted her

I enjoyed tonight, wish I couldve been a little longer though

You too Adam I smiled at her last text and walked back to where I left my car. Theres something different about this girl, shes differe-

My phone rang, cutting me off my thoughts.

What Elizabeth?

No Im not home

Are you my mother now?

Where are you?

Okay Im on my way I hung up before she could say anything else. Sometimes I really cant remember that Im with Samantha.

I tried ending it with her time and time again but according to her I cant break up with her Ive cheated on her multiple times, even with her friends. I know its wrong but she wont give up.

I didnt want a relationship but thats what you get when a girl asks you a question when youre half asleep.

I hopped in my car and contemplated whether or not I should see Elizabeth tonight. I started the car and drove off, deciding to just stop by, if I dont feel like doing anything I could always leave, thats always an option. Maybe I should stay, it has been a while since I actually spent time with her, not the quality time she wants though or maybe it is.

I still cant stop thinking about that bright smile from Samantha, her smile made me smile.
