All I could think about is Sam, even when I'm with Elizabeth. Its her smile that shows her perfect white teeth, Its the way she walks with heels first, how she dresses like somebodys aunt. I mentally laughed at that but how she dresses doesnt affect me.
I actually like the way she looks. I still wonder how she looks in something close. My lovely imagination was cut off by my wannabe girlfriend.
Adam! Ive been calling you, what's wrong?
She crawled her way into my arms.
Nothing is wrong Elizabeth. I was just thinking, you do know what that is right?
She rolled her eyes and rolled off me.
Whats your problem? I dont know why you're treating me this way and I did nothing to you.
I gave her a deadly stare reminding her that I was the one who caught her cheating with my friend a few months ago. I dont even know why Im still with her, easy, that's why. Without giving her an answer I got up and headed through the door not feeling this party anymore. I pulled out my phone to text Sam I read over our previous text showing that the last text sent was an hour ago.
I closed the phone and placed it back in my pocket. Maybe shes doing another double shift, shes been doing double shifts all week.
I havent seen her since the night I almost kissed her. Is that the reason shes been avoiding me? Of course not, I thought to myself. Why would she avoid me because I almost kissed her, she definitely has kissed before I mean at our age who hasnt?
deciding not to text, call or even drive to her house to see if shes there. I walked to my car, started the engine and was about to head home when my phone buzz indicated that I got a text. When I saw her name on the screen I opened the message so fast youd think my phone was on fire.
Hey Im sorry I couldnt reply sooner, I was working a double shift again.
Are you free now? I replied
I will be as soon as I'm done showering
Now I can't help but think about her taking that shower. Pushing the thought I replied letting her know that Ill pick her up in the next thirty minutes. I waited for her to reply before I head home to wash this party smell off me.
I hopped in my car hoping to get there on time, not early but on time.
