Wilbur's P.O.V.

I let out a loud groan as the sunlight hit my face. The light causing my eyes to burn slightly, as I turned to my side, the cat remained, his green and red eyes staring into the depths of my brown gaze.

"Don't you have any rats to kill?" I questioned, as I pushed books away from my stomach and my legs. My eyes widened as he let out a scoff, "You're rather rude for a wizard, aren't you?" The cat asked, as I laid there appalled. "Did I drink too much last night?" I asked, shot glasses splayed by my side, empty and some still full with alcohol.

"You had a few shots, just enough to sleep at night." He resumed, hopping over to the dinner table, sitting down and licking his paws. "I'm way too hungover for this.." I mumbled, "No, I can talk" He said, a smirk plastered onto his face. "You know, the boy's special-" I cut him off as I grabbed a book and threw it at him.

My jaw dropped as he disappeared leaving purple dust around the table. "Let me finish!" He demanded, as he now sat on my rocking chair. "What are you?" I asked, he looked at me and paused slightly. "I'm a.. cat, well not I used to not be a cat but I am now. That's why I said the boy is special, he was able to bring me here." He continued, as I stood there, frozen. "What do you mean he's special?" I murmured slightly, disappointment lacing my tone. "You know Endermen right?"

He asked, as I raised my brow, "Yes, of course, their farmed for their endereyes. But their a myth at this point." He sat up straight, as he continued. "I'm half Endermen, I'm suprised that one day I found a portal opening up in my bedroom, curiousity peaked my interest and I went in, and now the first thing I heard and saw was you nagging him about it." I sighed, "I- Wow.. but how- we don't even have any endereyes to make one.."

I said, confusion fueled my head as I thought long and hard about it. "That's why I stayed quiet, if they learned that I transported here, who knows what that king of yours would do, we aren't very well respected.." He said, his ears faltering, a frown replacing his smirk.

"I'm surprised I'm not like them, their barbaric, we were supposed to recruit humans in, but overnight, I found their bodies within the throne room.. blood everywhere and just.. their heads.. their heads were in a pile and I just.." He frowned even further, whimpering as he rubbed his eyes with his paws.

"I'm glad I'm here, it's refreshing to see what's beyond The End." He got down from the chair, looking at me with eagerness, almost begging me to sit down. As I plopped down onto the chair, he teleported onto my lap, purring as he curled into a ball. "I understand that you want him to be safe, but what you said was rather harsh-" "I know.." I murmured, tears slipping out of my face. "I just don't want him to make the same mistake I did when I was younger." I continued, his ears perked up. "What did you do?"

I let out a small sigh, "It all happened a few years ago.."

"I'm the next heir to the throne!" Schlatt spewed out as him and his friend, Travis chased Wilbur through out the woods. Will let out small sobs as his legs ached from running everywhere.

He felt his lungs burn as his body started heating up. "Cool! Now leave me alone!" Will yelled out, letting a loud groan as his body slammed against a small clear pond. He could hear footsteps across the woods, he scrambled to the nearest tree and prayed they wouldn't see his obvious sillhouette, dancing against the trees.

"I swear I saw him here!" Travis blurted out, "We'll get him next time" Schlatt responded, disappointed evident. "What did you want to do with him anyway?" Travis asked, Schlatt rolled his eyes as he let out a sigh.

"Frame him for something bad atleast, I need dad to atleast see him doing something bad that would make him an unworthy fit for being a king." Travis was taken aback by this, one of the evident flaws Schlatt had was being power hungry, wanting to take control.

Travis brushed it off, maybe he'd change in a few years, he didn't know how wrong he'd be. As they walked away, Wilbur let out a small sigh. "Ughhh.. He almost gave me a heart attack." He said, taking off his shoes and letting them cool off at the crystal clear pool of water.

The sound of waterfall crashing against the water rang against his ears. Calming him down, he rubbed his eyes, letting out a yawn as he took off his jacket, folding it turning it into a pillow, his head rubbed against the fabric as he dozed off.

A webbed hand reached over, poking and touching his toes. "Fascinating!" She whispered as Wilbur's eyes shot open, he rubbed his eyes as the mermaid shifted a little to get a closer look at his face.

A small smile creeped onto her face as he glanced at him, leaning over to him as closely, their nose touching as she whispered, "So handsome!" He let out a shriek as he shuffled about, confused and scared. "What are you?!" He yelled out as the girl frowned. "Geez, quite rude.." she said, "I- Sorry.. you just scared me.." He mumbled, "It's fine, I'm well.." She let out a small giggle, her silver tail swishing against the surface. Wilbur quickly got on and nodded. "Uhm.. so you said I'm handsome?"

He said with a smirk as she blushed, shyly nodding, locks of her red hair brushed against her face. "It's alright, I think your cute too" He said calmly, winking at her as she felt her face heat up. "So flirtatious! And you haven't even told me your name yet." She grinned, letting out a giggle, her greyish-porcelain skin glistened against the sun. Enhancing her beauty as she looked at him with excitement. "I'm Wilbur" He croaked out, his blush spread against his face even reaching his ears.

"I'm Sally" She said, raising her webbed hand as Wilbur gently grasped it. He shuddered slightly, from how scaly and cold her hand was as she let out a giggle. "You should get going, the sun's setting" She continued, a small pint of sadness on her face. "Alright, I'll see you again." Wilbur said, grabbing his jacket, putting on his shoes as he walked away. Sally felt flustered, she silently prayed that she'd meet the handsome stranger again.

A year later..

"Wilbur!" Sally let out a soft giggle as Will wiped his face, enjoying the cool water as Sally gripped his face softly, silently admiring his features. "Your coronation's today right?" She asked softly, as his thumb softly played with her gills, he frowned, "Yeah.."

He mumbled getting out of the water as he dried off. "You don't seem excited? Your gonna be king! You should be happy atleast" She said, as she swam to the shore, her body rubbing against the stones. "You know me, we've been dating for 3 years, and besides, I don't want to be king, it's annoying, and I won't get to spend time with you.." He said in a whimper, crossing his legs as he sat down on a log.

"Aww, honey, I didn't know you felt that way, come here." She cooed out softly, as Will walked over to her, sitting down in front of her as she giggled, softly kissing him as he smiled a bit. "But you have to do it." He pouted, and kissed her forehead, "No, thank you" He said with a smile, as she puffed up her cheeks, giggling a little as he raked his fingers against her red locks.

The couple enjoyed their time together, not noticing red eyes lurking in the shadows, spying on them both.
