SIX

Chapter Six:

(WIN)

I was panting and was about to fall on the ground if it weren't for my hands holding on to my knees. I could feel the cold sweat running down my body soaking my shirt and I feel so sticky. Damn it. But it was all worth it when I finally found Bright sitting on the grass on the park that I didn't even know he knew. I gulped and tried to wipe the sweat on my forehead using the back of my hand hissing on pain because I forgot that I had an bruises there.

"Let's go home"

I said as I recovered. He looked up and glared at me but he didn't said anything as he finished gulping down his drink.

"Get the h*ll out of my sight Win. Let me be alone"

He said. I rolled my eyes and sat beside him.
My feet are all swollen from running. Damn it. When will I get the sleep I deserved?!

"Did I stutter?"

He said annoyed.

"Look Bright, I don't even want to argue with you right now. But Mom is crying and begged me to go after you"

I lied. Of course I didn't go that far just because Mom asked me to. It was me who decided to follow Bright because no matter how pissed off I am at him I'm still worried about him. He looked surprised on what I've said though it was quick to turned into frown.

"We don't have to pretend now, are we Win? I know that we're on the same boat. You hate me as much as I hate you. If you came here just because of Mom asked you then go tell her that you didn't saw me. At least she would think that you cared for me"

He said without looking at me. His attention is on the scene before us. I know that he never liked me but hearing those words coming from his lips still hurts me.

"Hate is such a strong word Bright. I hope you know that"

I said and I couldn't bring myself to meet his eyes. This is just so suffocating.

"Then go punch me if that will make us even"

I never knew that he could be this heartless.

"I---"

I heard him took a deep sigh.

"That's why I told you to leave me alone. My mind is all over the place right now and the least thing I want to do is to hurt you even more Win. So go home..."

That's when tears started to form on my eyes.

"I won't go back without you!"

"You're f*cking stubborn!"

I was taken a back when he grabbed my collar forcing me to face him. I couldn't hold my tears back and just let them fall.

Good job Win.... You're so weak...

"Can't you see that I'm not like you? I couldn't bring myself to pretend that I care for you as a brother because everytime I do, shit always happened and make me realize that you're the same kid who ruined everything"

He said as he let go off me.

"I'm sorry"

I said almost a whisper.

"It was only me back then but you showed up and suddenly everything is all about you from then on. Why do I have to pretend that I like you?!"

"You should have been clear to that Bright. If I knew I should have know where to put myself on your family"

A moment of silent engulfed us. I looked down on my lap tears falling on them leaving spots on my pants.

"But you know that they are all yours right? Always and forever been, Bright. They are your own family and I will always be an outsider. I'm not planning to steal them away from you because I know my place. I'm just waiting to be on the legal age so I could leave all by myself. Bare with me for a while.....just a little bit mo---"
