*Charlotte's PoV*
The Great Hall was lit with a hundred levitating candles and the roof looks like the sky from outside. It really is beautiful, just like Dad said.I was walking up to where the fourth years were being sorted with Ella. "I'm so nervous" I said looking at her excited face. She turned and walked off to the Gryffindor table without saying a word to me. Git.
I stood where everyone else was. "Albus Potter!" Professor McGonagall called as a brown haired boy walked up to the wooden stool and sat on it hesitantly.
She carefully place the Sorting Hat on his head. "Ahh..Potter. You'd be great in Slytherin..you're very like your fathe-" I saw him mouth the words 'not Slytherin not Slytherin.'
"Very well then..brave at heart..daring..GRYFFINDOR!" Everyone clapped and cheered in excitement, especially the Gryffindors. Professor McGonagall shouted "Charlotte Longbottom!"
I slowly walk up and sit on the stool like Albus. "A Longbottom..hmm.. cunning..ambitious..it's got to be.. SLYTHERIN!" I smiled happily as I stood up and headed to the Slytherin table.
There were even more claps and cheers for me. I caught Albus' eyes and he smiles at me. I ignored him. I sat beside a blonde boy with blue-grey eyes. He turns to me.
"Hi I'm Malfoy. Scorpius Malfoy" he said reaching to shake my hand. I smile at him. "Hi I'm Charlotte Longbottom" I said shaking his hand. He looked shocked.
"Longbottom? Does your dad work here?" He asked smiling back at me. I simply nod. I wasn't in the mood for talking anymore, all I wanted was food.
