You stared down at Loki, lip between your teeth, and hands running up and down your thighs.
He's really going to punish me for this.
You didn't plan on this being the way you spent your morning. But for now, you needed it. You needed the control, the power. You needed to feel like you were the one in charge of what happened. For that reason, you had bound your sleeping lover to the bed with the same pair of shackles you had used so many nights ago.
It all started yesterday. After your extremely intense and intimate morning with Loki and his clone, your sore body needed to relax. Loki had done everything perfectly afterwards - he had bathed you, massaged you, and let you sleep curled up in his side. It was the most hazy you had felt after a scene with him in a long time. Even your day of overstimulation had not left you so shaken. It was overwhelming but absolutely pleasant.
Handing over your control to Loki was something you cherished more than anything. Whether you were actively making love or simply lying around, letting Loki take care of you meant dropping your walls, increasing your vulnerability, and living in a state of trust. It was hard to trust people but you put your faith in Loki completely.
He did his part as your dominant, your lover, and your Master yesterday. He took care of you, not letting you lift a single finger. You were extremely clingy, more so than you normally were with Loki, but he held you through it. You could count the minutes that he spent not touching you on a single hand.
But for all of Loki's perfections and agreements, you still had your differences and that came through when Gretchen called you later that night.
The phone rang and you both stared at the lit up screen. You didn't want to answer it. You were perfectly content with cuddling with Loki and letting the phone go to voicemail. You had just seen Gretchen and quite frankly, the inner introvert in you wasn't planning on talking to her for another week at the very least. Why she wanted to talk to you again already was beyond you, but remembering that she was new to the area without any friends brought on the realization that you were all she had here.
Gretchen was a social butterfly. She'd find her group soon.
However, Loki was the one itching to reach for the phone. You could see his hand literally twitching in order to stop himself from picking up. When the ringing of the phone died off, he turned to you with his brows furrowed.
"You didn't pick up," he had said, his tone flat and his face unreadable.
"I didn't feel like it," you said with a shrug, curling into Loki. The phone rang again and you groaned, resting your forehead on Loki's bare torso. "Before you ask, I still don't feel like it."
"You should answer," Loki mumbled, picking up the phone and handing it to you. He didn't accept the call. He just left the phone ringing and vibrating in your lap.
"Why?" you asked, looking up at Loki. "Why is it so important that I answer?"
"Tone, pet," Loki growled, giving you a stern look. You shrunk in on yourself, not realizing the venom that had laced your voice. Loki sighed and stroked your arm with the warm palm of his hand. "Avoidance will not solve anything."
"Sure it will. If I never talk to her again then she'll be out of my life and I won't have to worry about anything," you explained.
"And will losing a good friend be worth it just to avoid telling her the truth about me?" Loki asked.
You stayed quiet, the only sound in the room the ringing of your phone. Loki had a point, but you didn't want to admit that. Losing Gretchen wouldn't be good. Having her in your life again after so long was refreshing. Still, the idea of her wanting Loki so badly made you hesitant. Loki cleared his throat and pointed to your phone. With a sigh, you caved in.
