Kintsugi

Holding the pieces cautiously, you move forward and stumble,
but balance and walk again
Looking in a mirror, you wipe your tears
and paint up a smile,
for you know that you want to free yourself from the burden of pain.
They say that broken hearts shine brightest
for the cracks gleam with new hope
and the pieces hold the value of a new start
And so do you, the one holding them like diamonds,
In a fear of them falling apart
Hear me when I say,
that shattered pieces can be gathered again
If a part goes missing, you can always begin again
They say the broken ones are scarred for life,
I say the broken ones know the value of life, they grow wiser in life
Because nobody else can teach you to trust yourself, to love yourself, to heal yourself
When sitting in that dark room,
Nobody else can wrap their arms around you, but your own-self!
So yes, you are broken
Take pride in that
Your pain was cruel,
but your kindness is rare, so feel glad!
That you no longer are the bitter person,
the one living in oblivion
Now you live in hope, reality...
You praise the darkness, but you preach the sun.
Perhaps the fear of rattling pieces in your chest will stay,
but the fear of not being enough will be astray
You have the courage to be anything you wish,
with anyone you like...
The storm has passed and things seem silent,
the good kind!
Maybe some wounds are yet to be healed,
and some cracks are left open for the world to see...
But they are painted with love, wisdom, kindness, and empathy...
They cover the cracks like a golden kintsugi!
And just like that, you won't be tainted
instead, by the world, your scars will be admired and celebrated
