Chapter 6

High School Game Night Pt2

Taehyung POV

I force the button on my shirt through the small hole as I stare in the mirror. My eyes focused on the black shirt I'm perfecting. I can't help but take small steps side to side as I vibe to the music that's quietly playing in the background. A low hum follows the rhythm of the song as I finish buttoning my shirt.

I take one last look at my outfit feeling satisfied before the music lowers. "Why? I liked that song." Instantly I pout seeing Uni enter my room with my phone in her hand.

A chuckle releases through her lips. "It's not my taste." She begins making her way towards me and I face her.

"What is your taste then?" I lean towards Uni as she happily wraps her arms around my neck.

A smile is smeared on her lips. "You." And a smile quickly appears on mine. Uni picks up her heals to reach me before planting a kiss.

"You have great taste." I speak through the kiss making her laugh. It's gentle ringing in my ear and makes me feel a knot tie in my stomach. After our moment Uni backs up to take a look at my outfit. I raise my eye brow waiting for an approval.

"Somehow all black looks hot on you." Uni takes a couple more steps back until she's on the edge of the bed where she sits.

"It's my safe color." I grin.

"Well it looks good." I watch as Uni sits comfortably on the bed then turn to the mirror once again.

"Thanks, are you going to get ready?"

"I was actually thinking of staying home and having a chill night."

I look at her through the mirror adjusting my shirt. "I would love that but its Namjoon's night. He worked hard on this event, I have to go support him."

Uni nods. "I get it...Speaking of Namjoon, how is he?"

A deep sigh leaves my chest. "I honestly don't know. His body can only take so much until it gives up, I just don't want him to push his limit." Finally I turn away from the mirror and face Uni. "I mean I get it, he didn't exactly choose to become a vampire but it's not like he can actually stop it, so why kill yourself while trying?"

"I think he just wants to be happy in his body and being a vampire isn't bringing much happiness to him." Uni simply shrugs.

"But there's no other way for him to live, if I was him I'd accept my fate."

"Fate? Tae you're only saying this because you've adapted to who you are to the point where you enjoy being a vampire."

My eyebrows bend. "I don't mind being a vampire but that's not the point. Namjoon turned a year ago, shouldn't he have already adapted?"

"Just because you adapt to something doesn't mean you enjoy it." I pause enduring what Uni said.

"What would you do?" She takes a moment to take in what I said and find an answer.

"Um..." Uni's eyes fall onto the ground as she speaks. "I'd probably be like Namjoon too-"

"What?!" She picks up her eyes.

"I get him, Tae. If I don't want to be someone, I'll fight hard to not be them."

I begin walking towards Uni. "Coming from the guy who's adapted to being a vampire to the point where I enjoy it, that's a death wish." My hands reach her neck leaning into a kiss.

"Whatever." Uni rolls her eyes.

"But this vampire want's to spend the night with you, you should come with me." She scrunches her face, rolling her lips to her nose.
