Chapter 2

Student Council Project

Namjoon's POV

I stuffed my hands into my pockets while walking through the school's hallways. It was after school hours, and I was headed to my first student council meeting. Although I was excited, it was only my biggest distraction from the bigger issue. It's been a couple days since I've quit drinking blood, and let's just say the journey has been a little rough. It was okay for a while until this morning when I woke up to the feeling of pale lips. They were cold, like ice packs on my face. My senses were also driving me crazy. If I focus enough, I normally can smell the scents of my neighbors walking outside. But this morning I didn't even have to concentrate, it was the first thing I thought of. My hunger came back so quickly and it took me most of the morning to pull myself together, this involves stuffing a bunch of cereal in my mouth to get by.

Anyway, going to school was my biggest distraction. It was very hard the first couple hours, but I used my skills as a mature vampire and got myself by. I just need to survive a little longer during this meeting and everything will be fine, and I can prove to Taehyung that I can live without blood.

I slouch onto the open seat in the classroom the meeting was taking place in. My hands rolls into fists as more students arrive to the meeting. Not only do I need to make sure I don't get hungry around my peers, but I can't let any suspicion to whats going on with me.

A the last couple of students were entering and taking their seats a familiar smell enters the room. I curiously tilt my head the doorway and find Seulgi entering the room with her held up high. She was grinning to herself from ear to ear, like she was proud to attend. Her posture stands tall and her hands intertwining each other, as her eyes gaze through the room trying to get a look at who's here and where she should sit. Her eyes lay on mine, and without hesitation I smile at her. I think it would be rude to look away but I wish I did, because her scent wasn't the kind I was ready for.

Seulgi took the friendly smile and begins to approach me. Once I notice her movements I quietly curse at myself and look down at the desk. Hoping she'd go away, I hear her sit right next to me.

"Hey, Namjoon," Seulgi greets me. I slowly look up to her watching her smile grow showing some teeth. I got to acknowledge her face carefully this time. Her moon shape eyes that squints with joy as she smiles, the type of smile that's contagious if you look too closely. Gazing down her face I notice her cheekbones that lift ever so perfectly up her face, and even higher as she smiles. Lips that are fuller on the bottom but still perk on each corner. Even Seulgi's hair flows so well with her face. The strands that curl to the side and down to her chest, the perfect length for her. The shade of brown to match her skin. Her skin, so gentle by the touch. Soft, smooth, and untouched teasing at my hunger.

Quickly shaking off my thoughts before they turn violent, I slightly smile at Seulgi, "Hey.." She adjusts in her seat moving her body to face me, there was no way to avoid this conversation now. And even though I want to move away from her, I also want to talk, "I didn't know you joined the council," She nods happily.

"Yeah! I just did a couple days ago. You and Taehyung seem to love it so much, I had to see what the fun was all about," Her response immediately makes me release a laugh that she joins.

"Ugh I know that day was awful," My eyes squints at her attempting to forget the image that was playing in my head, "I'm sorry the tour wasn't so good,"

Seulgi waves her hand, "No it's fine really. I think it's more important to know if you're okay," My body froze from her words. I know she was being polite but I didn't expect that.

"I-I'm fine now," I stutter, "I get sick easily that's all,"

"I hope I wasn't the cause of it," Seulgi rests her arms on the table.
