So far practice is going really well. All of my stunts are hitting and we are adding in more difficulty. We have 4 competitions before NCA and one coming up this weekend. Our coach, Jared, keeps telling us how proud he is of us and how he is confident we are going to do well this weekend. We are working on our tumbling sequence and coach says, "Ok Cassie your new pass is going to be roundoff bhs whip, bhs bhs layout-step out. Go ahead and warm it up now." "Ok" I say. I have already done this pass before, so this should be easy. I walk over to the mat and throw it. I land it perfectly. "Good job Cassie! Your going to tumble after Madison and start your pass on 5. Time for fullouts!" Jared exclaims. Everyone else groans but I don't really mind because we need to do fullouts to make us stronger. We all walk to our beginning spots and wait for Jared to turn on the music. The music starts, and I do my back handspring back tuck and then move to my first stunt. I put my foot in my bases hands we we switch up to lib, I pull my needle, then flick my leg out to my scale and then I full down from my scale. I hit everything perfectly. Next up is jumps, I walk to my spot and do a left hurdler, toe touch, right hurdler, straight jump back tuck. I stumble I little bit when I land my back tuck but it wasn't that bad. Next is our basket stunt. I do a kick full perfectly and then we reload from the cradle and full up to extension. Something goes wrong with my bases grips, but I still manage to stay up there. Then we double down and I walk to my tumbling spot. Madison just went and its time for me to go. I start running, feeling the sweat drip down my face. I glide through my bhs and whip then do my other two bhs and its time for my layout step out. I set as high as I can and then go for it. When I land, I don't quite land it right and I feel my knee twist when my foot hits the ground. I hear a loud pop, and I fall to the ground in pain. It hurts so bad, it's like something ripped inside my knee. I'm crying in pain and I feel like I'm about to pass out. I see Jared running toward me when my vision starts to blur and as soon as he asks what happened, I black out.
