Okay so I like festivals. A lot. But the problem is, I like only some of them to the point of jumping off a cliff if they get canceled. One of them is Ganesh Chaturthi if you haven't noticed. And me and my family have a habit of exhausting ourselves to the point where every single person in the house is sleep deprived and running 100% on caffeine for the next ten days of the festival. Here are some of the pictures I have in my phone about it, I'll try my best to give yall the context of the situation lol.
This was last years idol, and I was slightly pissed that I didn't get to choose it but oh well, it's still nice. It was like almost the midnight before when we got to actually bring it home, which is fun. And yes we had to keep our eyes peeled to look after it because it's fragile af. Oh, and also the idol is handpainted. Rip to those workers who spent all day and night who worked tirelessly for this
JEWELLERY. This bangle is for the hand that holds the modak. It's real gold (im gonna pretend I always knew this and did not just learn this from my grandma)
This one is my personal favorite. (Also I know that the picture is upside down, idk why) it's a piece of jewellery that's meant to go on the forehead (trunk? hmmm) and it looks fabulous to say the least.
