ANYWAys so this year's festival was a god damn blast but no loud noises and stuff which was a little sad honestly. But here's the photos and stuff y'all wanted.
This year's decoration, which was done by me, my sister and her bestfriend and I shit you not even this basic one took like 3-4 hours and the roses on the glass pane below the photo took one hour in itself and all of us literally felt like the shattering the pane by the end of it. The little strings of leaves on the front needed to be sewn together and it took a shit ton of time too. But it turned out good and didn't look like a birthday party this year so that was fun.
We put the jewellery we usually use on the idol and it took like twenty minutes to place the idol perfectly into the temple because it was so fragile and there were literally the four of us working on it 🥲. It was worth it though, the idol is beautiful.
Excuse this very poor photo I took with the food still on the table with the lighting off but we were in a rush and I barely touched my phone that day so yeah. Me and my mom did the idol on the right, the one with the blue saree and my sister and my aunt worked on the green one and all of our backs were dead afterwards so that's fun. We also had really intense prayers that day and it was going on for like an hour or so and there was a power outage right before we started with the prayers so that was fucking annoying. It's not fun doing a prayer with like 16-17 other people and kind of bumping into them because there's little to no light source.
