This is not a historical BL it leans more towards adventure and fantasy wherein our Male Lead; Du Ze is an ordinary boy with no powers whatsoever who happens to be migrated to the story he was reading and met the Male Lead; Xiu he accompanies him in hopes of not dying in that world.
The plot is really interesting and you get to witness both characters grow, falling in love and there are a lot of action and adventure scenes from the book. Don't worry this story definitely has a happy ending.
