9 - Just a Dream

I couldn't get any sleep that night, so I went outside to stargaze hoping that maybe I could relax. Slowing I drifted off into unconsciousness. I awoke to the sounds of birds chirping outside of my room. Wait... That's not right! I'm supposed to be in a cave! Why am I back in my room?! I thought, panicking. "Ah, good morning my dear!" I turned around to see my mom. Following right behind her was my dad and brother. "Come on sis! You have to go to school today, but I will not be able to go with you because of the most important things to do!" my brother said with a smile. I didn't know what to do, so I immediately ran for the door. When I touched the knob, a voice told me to get out. I barged through the door and ran as fast as I could. Then suddenly all faded to black and mom's, dad's, and my brother's heads popped up and said upsetting things to me. No matter how hard I tried to run the meaner the insults were. Then I saw Jackson smiling, but not to me. There was another girl with him and children. I looked down, too upset to look forward. Then I noticed that my hands and feet were slowly disappearing. That's when I fell into a dark hole, and woke up. Jackson was sitting up against a wall and looking at me. "morning sleeping beauty!" he said with relief in his eyes. He must've been worried about me. I ran up to him sobbing like a baby. "Shhh. It's okay. It was just a little dream. You're safe." He said with a soothing voice. It was only just a dream. I thought to myself.
