Chapter XVIII: Cliffside secret

*Alissa's POV*

Me, dad and Akame or.. should I say soon-to-be mom were walking through Beacon as others were whispering about us...

Boy: "They deserve to be together... I wish them best of luck."

Girl: "Hold on... is that a ring Akame has?"

Boy: "You noticed only now?"

Girl: "What? Don't blame me... I was busy when everyone got to know!"

Boy: "And what were you doing?"

Girl: "Grrr... that's none of your business..."

We continued as we arrived to a cliff... it reminded me of one of my nightmares where my parents went to a cliff while I was in their arms... and threw me down... I started to shake...

You: "What's wrong Alissa..."

Alissa: "Y-You... won't throw me o-off of it... right?"

Akame: "Why would we do that?"

Alissa: "I-I... had a nightmare where my parents threw me off of a cliff.."

You: "I would never do that Alissa..."

Akame: "Yes... me neither..."

You: "Listen Alissa... if you don't want to go... we can return and I'll go there with Akame alone... Ruby or others can look after you.."

Alissa: "It's fine... I'll go." I took his hand as we went to the edge... there was a very narrow and slippery path down... dad picked me up as he placed me behind his neck and held my legs...

You: "This will be interesting."

Akame: "Did you two seriously had to go through there... this is too dangerous."

You: "Yes... it's the only way... maybe that's why Weiss didn't like it."

Akame: "I don't like the way only for now... but I can't judge the pool."

You: "Akame... the pool is so well hidden because noone found out how to get there."

Alissa: "Dad... you can control blood right?"

You: "That's correct Alissa."

Alissa: "Why don't you make a bridge or something out of your blood... it'd be safer."

You: "I tried that but... I would have to use more blood than I can so I wouldn't kill myself."

Akame: "You could use Kurome's..."

You: "I can't use blood of two people at once... or I can but I don't want since... that's what killed my parents."

Akame: "What do you mean?"

You: "I'll tell you another time..."

Alissa: "What happened to your parents?"

You: "They died... that's all you should know... something else should be kept a secret from a young girl such as yourself."

Alissa: "What? I'm 8.. is that not old enough?"

You: "No Alissa... you should not hear how my parents died... you would have another nightmares... do you want nightmares?"

Alissa: "No I don't."

You: "Good... let's get down to the pool already." Dad carried me to the cave entrance where it was much safer to be though it was very dark... mom then arrived as well...

Akame: "It's too dark in there."

You: "Alissa can you see something in here?"

Alissa: "No... not even with my faunus vision."
