Heartless pt.2

Brother

Nathalie opened her eyes as she surfaced, Loren smiled at her.

L- Wasn't so bad huh?

N- When you dare me I was 9, can you blame me?

L- Well, if it took this long.

They continued to just swim when Nino bet he was faster a swimming then Adrien, so the rest of them climbed out of the water and let them race, Adrien finished first by a second.

A- Ha! I knew it!

N- Whatever dude, that was awesome.

Alya- You'll always be a winner in my book.

She got back in the water and swam over to him, so did Marinette, followed by the three adults, but before Nathalie could slide back in, someone grabbed her by the waist and pulled her out, but she knew Gabriel was in the water. She turned around.

N- What the hell- BRIAND!!!

She hugged the man, everyone in the room was confused.

B- Hey natty.

N- Mom told me you were dead!

B- Um, about that..

N- Hold on, you know Loren, this is my husband Gabriel, my daughter in law, Marinette, her friend Alya, my son Adrien and his friend Nino. And this is Chloe Bourgeois, also one of our friends. This is my brother, Briand.

G- That makes much more sense. Gabriel Agreste, pleased to meet you. 

B- Hello Mr. Agreste.

N- Okay, now that we've got roll call out of the way, how did you find us?

B- I got the address from the paparazzi actually.

He pointed at the window as Nathalie slid back in the water, red as an apple.

N- Half the world has seen me half naked.

B- At least it was only half.

N- You don't change do you?

B- Nope, now, can I please tell you what I came here for?

N- Sorry, go ahead.

B- Well, everyone is still alive.

Shock fell over the building, Nathalie froze, then swam to the edge of the pool and sat on the edge beside Briand.

N- What.

B- Mom wanted to send me down, but I didn't want to go, since we're looking after my sister in law's toddler, but she went back and now I'm here, but mom just decided to fake an excuse to come down here. That woman needs an excuse for everything.

N- So this was all fake,  just so that she could come and see me?

B- I believe so, when did you get married?

N- A few days ago, I would've invited you, but I thought you were dead!

She held the sides of her head in her hands, confused at why her mother had taken it so far this time. Her whole family had missed her wedding because she thought they were dead.

N- But didn't you see the invitation we sent her?

B- No, she didn't show us the mail, she hid it.

N- And you didn't think to check?!

B- We tried, but she hid it from us. We tried to see it and find what it was, but she said it was an invitation to a wedding of her friend's, and hat it didn't matter. But she still didn't even tell Pa about it, she just said he had to come with her, and left for the airport, then probably only told him when you arrived, because he would've brought us.
