Hatedly ever after

The next morning, the Agreste mansion was woken by a helicopter floating above the roof with a light searching the streets. Nathalie opened the window and stuck her head out, looking into the bright lights.

...- We need to speak to the Agrestes!

Someone yelled from the helicopter and Nathalie groaned, could they not have just come to the door? No! They had to make a speacial announcement that made the rest of the world think they had done something wrong.

N- Gabriel, how the hell did you sleep through that?!

G- I'm a deep sleeper.

N- Get dressed, we need to go down to the police station.

G- Already? I was planning on forcing you to sleep in.

N- Don't worry, I'm bringing my tablet.

G- No your not.

N- Excuse me?

G- I hid it.

N- Uh, let's just get ready.

She grabbed a suit and turtle neck sweater before running into the bathroom, and changing.

N- GABRIEL! Do you know where my elastic is?

G- Bedside table.

He'd already gotten dressed, she ran out in her pan suit and grabbed the elastics, tying her hair up tightly. He sprayed on a bit of cologne before sliding his arms through his suit jacket, she grabbed their glasses and put hers on, giving Gabriel his and running past a confused Briand and Loren. 

N- What is it?!

She yelled up at the pilot, two people dropped down a ladder and one of them slid down the side.

...- PI Dann needs to speak with you.

N- Could he not have just asked?

...- This is urgent ma'am.

She rolled her eyes. Gabriel lifted her by the waist and she grabbed onto the ladder, he was tall enough to climb up with his arms before being able to climb with his legs. Once Nathalie was in, she pulled him up, and they were given two seats. The news followed underneath them, Gabriel received a call from Adrien.

A- Father, what happened?

G- One of the detectives wants to talk to us!

He shouted over the noise from the helicopter.

A- Okay, I'll talk once you land, I can barely hear you.

He hung up and Gabriel put his phone away, they landed on the roof of the police station, they were lead to the room underneath them, where Audre and Sean were kept in a small jail, where they came from the jail, house.

PI- Hello, I'm glad your here.

G- Nathalie?

N- I haven't had my *yawn* coffee yet.

PI- I have some in the back, how do you like it?

N- Just black for now.

She flopped into one of the wooden chairs and stretched, Dann handed her the cup and she sat straighter, the rooms they were in allowed them to speak to Audre and Sean, who had been cuffed to the wall with no chance of escape.

PI- I have a few questions for you. Your son is married, yes?

G- What does he have anything to do with this?

PI- We have a girl who comes in saying she's his wife.

G- Has she given a name?

PI- Lila Agreste.

N- She's not married to Adrien!

Nathalie sounded defensive, but there was no way she could ever give her blessing to Miss Sausage ponytails. She preferred Chloe, any day.

PI- Okay, we'll, we have her here.

N- Where?

G- Maybe you should calm down first, dear.

AU- OH SHUT UUUP!!

She yelled from behind bars, and finally Lila was let in. Nathalie gripped the edges of the chair tightly, restraining her anger.

Lila- Gabriel Agreste?

G- Lila ROSSI.

He emphasized her last name, apparently Lila had been bailing him out the whole the time, and now she, Lila ROSSI, would be explaining herself.

After a long explanation and argument, Nathalie and Gabriel were finally allowed to go home. 

N- I hate her!

G- Calm do-

N- When I'm mad, DO NOT TELL ME TO CALM DOWN!!!

She yelled, and sighed, leaning into his chest, he hugged her and they sat in silence.

N- I'm sorry, I just... I just wish some things had never changed.

G- Don't worry. I understand my dear.

N- Thank you, Gabriel.

She smiled and pecked his cheek, then the gorilla pulled into the mansion's driveway, he'd gotten notice of their location and drove to the station and waited for them. They went inside, Nathalie went straight to the kitchen to make herself a coffee, this time, her favourite kind. The only one that kept her awake. 

L- So what was that about?

G- We had to talk to the one who was bailing him out, then be a stand by in her arrest, and finally we had to call Adrien and Marinette to confirm that he wasn't married to Lila.

B- Damn, long morning.

N- Yup, time for work!

She wisked past them to the office, Gabriel sighed and followed her into the office, he got her tablet for her and got to work. 

N- We have a call from Penny, Jagged wishes to speak with you.

G- Seriously?

He wined, Nathalie smiled and gave him the phone. She went back to her desk, proud of how much she'd achieved, sure, she still had a few things to uncover, why her mother lied about her family's death, Sean and Audre, what Lila has to do with this and help Loren through her pregnancy. But... how long would the good part last? She'd have to enjoy it while she could, as she sat down at her desk again, she heard rain falling down on the steel roof. Before either of them could react, the roof collapsed and 6 older men came through in Chinese uniforms.

...- Relng from the order of the guardians, we have come for you miraculous.
