12. The island

Tecna doesn't waste a moment of her time to enter the coordinates of Meera Island in her pc, transmitting them to the hawk. Timmy enters the coordinates in the onboard computer while Helia, Sky and Brandon prepare the necessary for the shuttle. Riven wears his combat gear, taking all the weapons he kept in a hidden closet.

"Riven, I'll go with you!" says Nymeria to him.

"No. It's too dangerous and I don't want to put you in danger too!" he says. Nymeria notices that Riven's jaw was clenched, his eyes burning with anger, and his hands were shaking.

"But I want to help you... Meera Island is a hostile place, on a planet very close to Obscurion..."

Riven closes the closet, slamming the door.

"There's one thing you can do, Mom..." he sighs "Go to Obscurion and ask Yana for reinforcements. She and Laetius will know how to help you. As for the rest, we'll go!"

Nymeria nods and hugs her son.

"Take care of yourself, Riven. Come back soon with your beautiful family..." she says in a trembling voice.

Riven nods, caressing her face. He was proud to have such a tenacious and strong mother, a true queen. And he was proud to have gotten this stubbornness from her....

"Riven, we're ready!" warns Nabu.

"Yes...let's go!"

Sky and Bloom, on the hawk, send a final goodbye to Alex, who remained on Domino with Oritel and Marion. Although they were hopeful, they were afraid they would never return and embrace their child again. The same fear gripped Flora and Helia, who had entrusted Periwinkle to her maternal grandparents. Only the four of them, in a way, could understand how much Riven was suffering. If it had happened to them, they would have been just as sick.

The sweet nature fairy takes her place next to Riven as soon as the ship leaves. She gently rests her hand on the man's shoulder.

"We will find her, we will find them. I'm sure they're fighting with all their strength right now to hold on. And I'm sure they're waiting for you to arrive..."

Riven smiles, he couldn't help but smile at the lovely fairy. He squeezes her hand, remaining silent and letting her know that he trusted them all.

"Did you see what that traitor did!" thunders Icy.

"What do we do now? Do we follow the fairies?!" asks Stormy.

"Follow them no, they would find out, however we will get them to tell us the way..." she says laughing evilly as she fiddles with the orb.

"According to the coordinates, the island of Meera is located on the planet Vailen, a really small planet that, like Andros, is covered 90% by water. There are three islands: Draya, Epseen and Meera. The latter is the most dangerous, since it consists of mountains and rocks. It's hard to land..." explains Timmy.

Riven approaches him, watching from the control panel monitor.

"The hawk is unfortunately not equipped with the right ditching equipment.... " he sighs, considering it as a possible alternative.

"No, though... we could land on Draya." Timmy shows the map. "The island is forty kilometers from Meera. We can use hoverbikes to get to Meera."

"Well, we'll do that then! Thanks, Timmy!"

Timmy adjusts his glasses and smiles back at his friend. Riven had truly changed: he no longer considered him a clumsy failure, but over time, he had come to appreciate Timmy's potential as a scientist.
