Chapter twenty-five- Jean and Mikasa

 ''Yeah hello?'' You asked into the phone

''Where are you?'' My mom asked you in an angry tone

''We're on the way. I can't just magically teleport there'' You said

''If you would want to, you could'' My mom said

''How? But as I said, we're driving. We're going to be there soon'' You said

''What's with all the ''We're''?'' My mom asked

''Well me and Levi'' You answered

''No, I want you, not him. I think you have spent enough time with your boss already'' My mom said as she hung up

You sighed and put your phone down

''Something wrong?'' Levi asked

''No, it's just my mom'' You said as you turned your head to look at Levi

He turned his head to look at you and let out a weak smile. You smiled back and took a deep breath

''You know. While I'm with my mom, we probably won't be able to really see each other, besides business, so I would like to keep our relationship a secret'' You said

''I understand and I also agree. I just would like to find a way to maybe kind of.....umm....sneak behind her back so I could see you?'' He asked

''Sneek behind her back? Where are we? In high school?'' You chuckled

''Haha very funny'' Levi said as he rolled his eyes

You chuckled and sighed. You didn't want to go home. Well, you did, but you understood that your mother's house wasn't really home. Yes, you grew up there but it wasn't ''home''. Maybe your ''home'' was wherever the man sitting next to you was. Even though you don't know each other for long, he made you happier than anyone ever has before.

You fell asleep shortly after that and when Levi woke you up, you were already at your apartment. You took all of your bags and headed inside, with Levi following you. You told him to put the bags in your room and headed for a quick shower. After that, you ran to change into something your mom would like and something that would cover Levi's old and new marks.

When you were dressed and ready to go, you walked into your living room and saw Levi sitting on the couch, scrolling on his phone.

''I'm ready to go'' You said

''Good'' He said getting up

He walked beside you and placed his hand around your waist

''You look amazing by the way'' He whispered into your ear
