Chapter twenty-eight- A lie, but it worked

𝙒𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧'𝙨 𝙥𝙤𝙫

''Where are they?'' You asked looking at the time, waiting in front of the spa 

''Relax, they're going to be here in a minute'' Levi said 

''Yeah but they're sooo late and it's not like them'' You said a little worried 

''Well there's traffic and like twenty more reasons why they could be late'' Levi said trying to calm you down 

''Yeah...I guess you're right'' You said as you sighed 

Levi opened his arms and took you in a big hug. You took a deep breath and you could smell his expensive perfume.

''You know, I'm always right'' 

''Yeah yeah'' You said playfully hitting his chest with your hands 

𝙅𝙚𝙖𝙣'𝙨 𝙥𝙤𝙫

This morning was spent arguing and yelling at each other. Mikasa was mad at me for inviting him and I was mad at her for not even trying to be nice and respectful. 

Now we're in the car. 

In complete silence. 

The only noise is made by the cars driving by or the radio.

I look at Mikasa and she's looking out of the window, her hand supporting her head. 

I sigh and speak up

''I'm sorry for raising my voice at you'' 

No response.

No reaction.

❝Weird, she usually says something.❞

''It's just that'' I collect myself before getting angry again

''You have to try, honey''

She continues her silence and I let out a sigh of defeat. 

''I know'' She quietly says 

''I'm sorry, honey'' I said putting my hand on her knee

''It's okay. I'm sorry too'' She said as she turned to look at me 

''I promise, it will be fun'' I say as I continue driving with my eyes on the road 

''Promise?'' I felt Mikasa turn to her head to look at me 

I turn my head and we make eye contact. 

I smile and admire her for a second 

'' I promise'' 

And after around ten more minutes of driving, we were in the parking lot, taking our bags out of my trunk.
