This night was colder than the other ones, darker. It has been weeks since Gannondorf had taken the castle and made himself King of Hyrule. Link and Zelda had gone into hiding, there was nothing they could do. Gannondorf had destroyed his master sword and Zelda had lost her connection to the Tri-Force. But together Link and Zelda have lived for a long time know going to seek information on what they could do next. There destination was the spring of wisdom, Zelda hoped to get answers on why she couldn't cast Gannondorf away and Link well he was just there to protect her.
"It will be five days till we hit the Lanayru Range after that it is a long climb till we hit the spring. Gannondorf has made it harder to do this making the mountain have really bad storms and high winds. But I think we can make it." Said Zelda as she put on the last piece of her snow clothing.
Zelda looked over at Link and saw that he was wearing the Snow Quill set that Revali had given him before he... before he had pasted. Link grabbed his sword and followed behind Zelda, and off they went up the mountain till they reached the top.
"I hope that the storms aren't to bad I really want to get up there and be frozen also." Said Zelda as she walked down a sloop. "Link do you think that there is any way for us to defeat Gannondorf?"
Link nodded his head no and gave a gesture for Zelda to continue to walk on. Link kept all of his senses sharp he had lost the battle against Gannondorf last time because he was not on his game. But today he kept them sharp and his hand on his sword at all times. As they walked time went by a little faster to the night time though this was Gannondorf's doing he wanted more time for his night soldiers to find us and they will die if not in darkness.
"Link could you please grab some wood from the forest down there. We really need a fire." Said Zelda as she started to shiver.
Link shock his head and pointed out the read flames along the side cliff of Hateno Village. The night soldiers had already gained more ground then they had in a wimpy two hours. Link sat down and watched the flames closely. He didn't move from that spot kept his eye's open as sharp as he could till he remembered what Revali told him.
"Your eyes can't see as far as your mind can think."
This went through Link's head multiple times till he finally chose to close his eye's and take a quick rest. Link opened his eye's and quickly turned around to look and see Zelda still sleeping and the smallest bit of sun peaking over the horizon. Link looked around down at the tree's he saw them the night soldiers they had found them but it was too late the sun was up they couldn't chase. Link shocked Zelda and woke her up.
"What is it Link?" Said Zelda as she wiped her eye's trying to wake up.
Link grabbed her arm and pulled her up onto her feet and started to run. Zelda tried to follow with him to but she was to tiered she almost fell multiple time but Link kept her on her feet. They had made a great distance for Link to look behind him and see nothing in the distance but a thick snow storm.
"Where are we?" Yelled out Zelda as she held tighter to Link's hand.
Link pulled out his sword and looked around, then that same thing came through his head like last time.
"Your eyes can't see as far as your mind can think."
Link closed his eyes and gestured a way to go then pulled her with him and they started to run. Link kept his eyes close the hole time till he felt full concentration and nothing could stop him.
"Link where are we going and how can you see anything there is nothing out here but snow and more sn..." Zelda stopped talking to look up and see the Lanayru Mountain in front of her. "We have made it that was much faster than I had thought."
Link helped Zelda get a start climbing and then followed her behind this climb was long and the snow kept on getting thicker, the wind increased and moving up was harder than Link had thought it to be. Link looked up to see Zelda struggling to keep her balance and watched as she slipped and caught herself.
"I am okay but the air is getting thin we need to get out the snow if we want to have more air." Yelled down Zelda as she continued her climb.
Link kept himself close to Zelda to make sure if she fell he might be able to catch her before she landed. Link looked up again to check on her but she was gone, Link quickened his pace and made it to the top there Zelda stood looking at the praying statue in ruins and the spring with no water in it.
"What has happened why?" Asked Zelda as she went down onto her knees and started to cry. "All of our hard work to make it here and there is nothing nothing!" She yelled.
Link bent down next to her and gave her his hand. Zelda grabbed it and had Link help her off of the ground.
"There must be some connection to the goddess still here. I will try to reach to her no matter what." Zelda said as she walked into the spring and knelt down in front of the statue.
