My eyes connected with a small, fragile woman's eyes. I broke the contact as her smile gradually grew larger and larger. She began signing a form as my madam looked towards it with ambitious, greedy eyes. I glanced at her but this time I saw the ghost of a familiar face. I want to glance at her again, but I did not want it to seem like I was staring. Suddenly, she grazed my cheek with those same wrinkled hands.
My heart skipped a beat as my blood began to race through my nerves. My throat let out a gasp. I looked up with my ocean filled eyes as I recognized her touch. She had Alayna and now she wanted me. I failed to hide the excitement of my face as she finished signing the papers.
Finally, I am out of that dull, desolated room. I walked behind that woman like a stray kitten hungry for a place to call home. We reached a humongous building. it was painted black from the sides of the wall. it had big windows stuck stiffly on each face of the house. it had a coat of darkness surrounding it's every corner. As I came closer to the front gate, the wind of uneasiness filled up inside of me.yet, I was ready to call this my home.
Until I heard a cry.
Not one that filled the room with peace but one which gave me shivers down my spine. The woman carried on entering the house but I stood listening to the warning that were given to me through the crying song.
