My name is Kelly Bianchi. I know, Bianchi, not your usual last name here in Nashville. It's nothing like Smith or Marks or Johnson which are the last names you hear around here. That's why my friends call me Kelly Bia-ch, it still makes me smile even though it's getting old. Bianchi. Bianchi was my great grandfather's last name who was from a small town called Aspra in Sicily. He was a fisherman who left when he was 18 to find a new, better life in the United States. He built a life in California working in some sort of fishing company that I can't recall. My grandfather, Luca, left sunny Cali and moved to Nashville, Tennessee (awesome sunny Cali to boring old Tennessee, go figure!). He then had my dad with my grandmother Alice. Then my dad and my mother had me, an only child. I've lived in Nashville my whole life and I would say I am your average 16-year-old girl, I go to parties here and there, I have B's and a few A's, I have friends. And a boyfriend, well I used to since I caught him cheating about two months ago. I'm not popular but I'm also not-not popular. I mean, people know me and I talk to a lot of people but they are not my friends, more like people I know.
