Gon felt his eyes slit and he let out a guttural growl, getting a terrified look from Tanjiro. He snarled, shoving the boar head guy into the ground. Killua had caught both swords with his hands so he was no longer armed. "HOW DARE YOU TRY TO KILL ME!" he tried to punch him so Gon gripped his wrists and kneed him hard in the stomach. "MMH!" he coughed up a little blood but Gon regretted nothing. "Gon!" he stopped, turning to look at Killua. "get off him" he obeyed and walked over, tail wagging. Killua ruffled his hair. "good job defending yourself, but he's Tanjiro's friend" he blinked, then his tail drooped. "Mhh" he said apologetically. Then he remembered Killua's bleeding hands and grabbed one, before searching around for anything he could use to patch it up. "don't worry about me, it's just a small scratch" that was a lie, those swords were barbed and jagged. They cut almost to the bone. He shook his head. "Mh!" Gon fretted for a moment before running over and tearing a shred of cloth off the boar man. "Hey!"

He ran back and wrapped it around Killua's cuts, then gave him a hug. For some reason, ever since he became a demon he realized that he was getting possessive. Sure, Killua could take a lot more pain than a simple slash wound like that, but it still made him angry. Before he had time to think, Killua let out a hiss of pain as a long thin sticklike material of some sort stabbed into his side. "Damn it!" he caught scent of the demon, it was coming from up a tree. "where the hell is it? I can't see!" Gon snatched one of the Nichirin swords, by the handle so he didn't get burned of course. He then enforced it with Nen and walked over to the tree. "what are you doing?" he growled and sliced the tree trunk in half, it fell over and brought the demon with it. "Hey you! Why aren't you killing these humans? Their right there!" she yelled. Gon stiffened. Kill, my Killua? She wants to kill my Killua?

Gon's eyes slitted and he discarded the sword, there was multiple ways to kill a demon and this thing would pay by dying the most painful way. He slammed the demon into the trunk and she yelled. "we're supposed to be working together, We can split it if you help me!" Gon was furious that she even dared to suggest such a thing, demonstrating it by ripping an arm off. She screamed and clawed at his face, which made him reel back and blink for a moment. While he was distracted, she tried to go for Killua, probably because he was the most vulnerable right now. He caught her and lifted her up by the head, doing so by growing to be tall enough to where she was dangling. The demon writhed and he crushed it's skull, blood splattering his kimono. Killua was speechless for a moment. Gon's tail wagged and he gave Killua a hug, before realizing his clothes were all bloody. Whoops. "holy shit, didn't know you had it in you"

He beamed and Killua patted his head. "not bad" his tail thumped at the praise, before Tanjiro spoke up. "a-aren't you horrified? He's got blood all over him and he just killed it in front of you" Killua chuckled. "not one bit" Killua was actually kind of proud, Gon had no issue with defending himself now. It probably has to do with him being a demon, but it's improvement. "b-but" he rolled his eyes, continuing to ruffle Gon's hair. "he needs to know how to defend himself. When he was human he probably would have gotten hurt pretty bad before he had the guts to bite back" Killua gave Gon a smile. "I might like you better as a demon" Gon beamed and he found himself blushing slightly. He then remembered the fact that he had something sticking out of his side. "oh wait, I'm injured" Gon whimpered again and he sighed. "listen, the pain's so little I forgot about it for a moment. I'm fine" Gon shook his head and gently put his hands on the projectile. "wait! We should have a professional do tha-" before Tanjiro could finish, Gon swiftly yanked it out and plugged up the hole it left with a hand.

Honestly, it did kind of hurt. But he wouldn't let it show. He ripped a shred off his sleeve, he was not wearing his favorite shirt so he didn't mind. "how the hell are you so calm? You just got stabbed!" Insouke yelled. "you shut up, I'm still mad at you for trying to kill Gon" he let Gon wrap his wound though. "and it doesn't even hurt that bad, it's not like I was stabbed by an actual sword. Or a dagger, or a poisoned knife, or a mace, or any of the other damn weapons I can think of" he chuckled. "it feels like getting stabbed with a needle, it only stings a bit" Tanjiro looked skeptical. "that's way bigger than a needle" Gon finished and slapped him. "what was that for!" Gon crossed his arms. 'stop getting hurt!' he scoffed. "if it was my choice I'd rather not be stabbed" Gon rolled his eyes, then ran off. "Oi! Be back in an hour!"

He was ushered to an actual hospital for real healing treatment, at least he thought it was a hospital. There was this butterfly woman who was very fake, although she sounds genuine the look in her eyes says a different story. "how did this happen?" she asked sweetly. Tanjiro was about to speak when he beat him to it. "well first, Insouke tried to stab someone and I caught his blades to keep him from killing him" then he sighed. "directly after that happened a demon threw this... thing at me. It was really thin and kind of looked like bone" suddenly her eyes widened in shock. "you don't seem to be in much pain" he chuckled. "I'm not. Tanjiro made me come here" he bit his lip. "you got hurt pretty bad Killua" her eyes grew even wider. "this wound is poisoned, do you feel any symptoms" well fuck. "no. I feel completely fine"  she looked skeptical and he sighed. "so, I happen to be immune to poisons" both Tanjiro and the butterfly woman were in shock for a few seconds.

"how is that possible?" Tanjiro asked. "well, I had to get small doses injected into me every day from a young age, it's not exactly natural" he rolled up a sleeve to expose a small scar. "did it in the same spot every time, honestly I think it was worth it" I can take the most deadly poisons to protect Gon if I have to. "interesting" she said in her fake sweet tone. "you don't have to be so fake, your too damn cheerful" her smile faded. "if you say so" Tanjiro looked worried. "who would do that to a child?" he laughed. "my family would" she finished wrapping the wound properly and he stood up. "I'll be fine, it'll heal in a few days" the butterfly woman shook her head. "it will take 10 days to recover" he rolled his eyes. "it's not the first time I've been stabbed, I know how long my own body takes to heal" he grabbed his bag, he still kept it on him at all times. Killua went through it to make sure he had everything and paused. "where the hell's my taser?"

The butterfly woman held up his taser. "I'm not sure what this is, did you make it?" Killua snatched it from her with a growl. "it's mine!" he took a deep breath. "sorry, this is one of the things I don't let people touch, it's important to me" not as much as the yoyos, but it's still pretty damn important. "but what is it?" Tanjiro asked curiously. "a taser? Have yall never seen a taser before?" they shook their heads. "what does it do?" he sighed, then held it above his arm. "so, it can stun people" he activated the taser and Tanjiro gasped. "is that blue lightning?" he blinked over at him. "no, it's just electricity" he kept forgetting that technology wasn't a thing around here. He sighed, and accidently touched his arm with it. "ah fuck" he turned it off a rubbed his arm. "haven't done that in a while" Killua slipped it back into his back and put it on his shoulders. "let's go, I wanna see what Gon caught" the butterfly lady walked over and gave him some more bandages. "who's that?"

Killua narrowed his eyes slightly. "one of my friends. He wanted to go hunting, now mind your own business" Tanjiro winced and the woman paused. "at night?" he resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "yes, he's weird. Now may I please go? I don't exactly trust him alone at night for very long" she nodded and he grabbed his sword, Tanjiro made him take it with him everywhere even though he probably didn't need it. "let's go" Tanjiro wanted to walk so it took them about an hour to get back to the cabin, at which point he paused. "Gon what are you doing?" Gon was on the ground outside, surrounded by dead animals. There was a few rabbits, a mouse, a couple weasels, and even a wolf. "well" he said, chewing on an animal that was too mauled to recognize. "I thought that if demons drink blood, why not try animal blood?" Killua couldn't help but smile a little. He's such an idiot, but occasionally he does something really smart that nobody would think of.

"well, try one" he nodded and used a claw to slit open a rabbit's neck. "here goes nothing" he tilted his head back and let the rabbit drain into his mouth. He did that for a few seconds before licking his lips. "not too bad" Killua grinned. "sometimes you actually pull of something smart" Gon shot him a glare. "I know I'm an idiot, but don't forget I saved your butt at the last stage of trick tower with my smarts" he snorted, "you have a way of being dumb and smart at the same time, it's kind of Impressive" Gon huffed and threw the dead rabbit at him. "Oi!" he held it at arm's length and wrinkled his nose. "oh come on, you have no problem with dead bodies" he shot Gon a glare. "it's an animal, that's different. Also I don't hold a fucking dead body for more than 5 seconds" Gon scoffed. "so your telling me that you'd rather hold a dead body then a dead rabbit?" he blinked. "that is not what I said" but Gon was actually right, he had no issue with dead bodies. So why the hell did a dead animal make him feel that way? "What the hell are you guys talking about?"
