Astraphobia (noun):
An extreme phobia of thunder and lightning
also known as Brontophobia.Boyfriend was the type of guy to try to be the person who's not afraid of anything but he actually has one known fear. Thunder. Whenever the bluenette hears the sound he shivers and his face scrunches up in discomfort. You did/didn't understand how he felt, for you had the same/had a different fear.
However you were always there for him. He was sincerely grateful every time. The after math of comforting him usually ended in him giving you something to show his thanks. Like going out to eat or something you told him you liked one time and he remembered.
Today was one of those days. It was a pretty bad thunderstorm outside. So powerful it knocked over some furniture outside. You knew by seeing the weather forecast to rush over to Boyfriends before it even started. Boyfriend was more newer moderation so he didn't usually watch the weather. His face showed one of confusion when he opened the door. He wasn't wearing his usual red cap and clothes.
His hair was a mess and he was wearing a solid color T-Shirt and sweatpants. Giving hints that he either just woke up or didn't get ready for the day. He let you in and you showed him the weather forecast. Boyfriend being boyfriend blew it off as nothing.
You sighed and shook your head at him. Boyfriend would act like the apocalypse was nothing. You guys chatted for awhile and played Monopoly until the dreaded storm arrived. When it did arrive and the first thunder clap was heard you knew Boyfriend was very nervous. You put down your monopoly piece and went over to him and put your arms around him.
He sighed and buried his face in the crook of your neck. Whenever there was another thunder clap his hands that were loosely wrapped around you would shake mildly. You ran your hands through his dyed hair and rocked him gently in your arms. This seemed to really calm him down. This wasn't the only way to calm him down though.
Singing his favorite songs in a soft and quiet voice also helped him. It also calmed him down enough so he could sleep. You sounded like a dying frog/an angel when you sang in your normal voice but in this voice it didn't matter if you could sing or not.
Rocking him in your arms and combing through his hair you sang. You sang until you could hear the faint sounds of snoring. You smiled softly and kissed the bluenettes head. You stopped rocking and leaned back against the sofa. Thank god for thunderstorms.

This might not be my best but I've been quite busy recently and I hope to post more chapters soon.
