The Mechanical Hero (Momo Yaoyorzu x Male OC)

Present Mic: sorry for the wait, sports fans! Now, without further ado, let's get into the second match of the second round! His first match wasn't very exciting, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have the skills! From the hero course, Tenya Iida! Versus, the buzzsaw wielding, rocket boosting, hazel eyed mechanical genius with a killer right hook! The hero course's Kaoru Shirogane!

Kaoru: Iida, I promise not to disappoint you in this fight. Let's not hold anything back alright?

Iida: yes, thank you Shirogane. It's an honor to be able to face you

Uraraka: hey...something seems different about him-

Izuku: yeah...he looks more serious than he normally is. You think we should be worried?

Uraraka: not sure-

Present Mic: I'm eager to see how this one unfolds! Begin!

Right away Iida rushes towards me closing the distance between us. I activate my gauntlets blocking his kick and pushing him back, I go in for a punch which he quickly dodges and tries to counterattack. I block his kick and jump back. I then hold out an open palm and fire off several small energy blasts at rapid fire managing to hit Iida and push him back a little

Iida: no you don't! Engine boost!

Boosting with his engines, Iida avoids the vicious assault at energy blasts, each of which leaves craters in their wake, and ends up behind me

Kaoru:*thinks* here it comes!

Iida: Recipro burst!

Forcing his rpm into overdrive, Iida attacks with a powerful kick which I barely manage to step away from, only from him to follow up with a downward kick, which I'm only able to block with my gauntlets. Iida then grabs me by my shirt in an attempt to drag me out of bounds. I activate my hook shot and hook it into the ground keeping me stationary much to Iida's surprise. He's forced to let go and end his burst early so that he doesn't end up running out of bounds, losing his balance slightly

Kaoru: behind you

He turns around and is only able to see my gauntlet aimed right at his face, charging with energy

Iida: oh no-

Kaoru: bye bye

I shoot out a blast of energy which takes the form of a bright blue beam that tears through part of the ring hitting Iida head on knocking him into the grass with a slight tumble.

Midnight: Iida has been launched out of bounds. Shirogane wins and advances to the semifinals!

Iida:*stands up groaning* wow....I didn't know you had that plan up your sleeve

Kaoru:*shrugs* working smarter not harder. That's just how I am

Iida: indeed, thanks for the battle

Kaoru: no problem buddy. *holds out fist* pound it?

Iida:*bumps fist* pound it

After the ring is fixed, the next few matches come and go fairly quickly, I end up needing to go to the bathroom causing me to miss Tokoyami's fight

Kaoru: yo I'm back, what did I miss?

Kaminari: Tokoyami already advanced, now it's Bakugou vs Kirishima

Kaoru: poor Kirishima

Bakugou and Kirishima fight. At first Kirishima has the advantage but as it turns out Bakugou was just waiting for Kirishima to use all of his strength so that he could finish him off with several small blasts

Kaoru: welp....looks like it's my turn-

Kaminari: you'll do good, just do your best

Kaoru: yeah....my best

I head into my waiting room waiting for the ring to be fixed. Images of Todoroki's previous battle flash through my head, combined with the pressure of having to fight such a force causes me to have a mild panic attack. Not to where I lose my composure mind you, but it's still a very stressful feeling

Kaoru:*thinks* this is the end isn't it....? There's no way I can fight Todoroki, he's too powerful. Oh god I'm not feeling good-

Suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder causing me to flinch

Momo: hey uhm-....are you okay?

Kaoru: oh...Momo, yeah I'm okay....

Despite me saying I know she can tell I'm not okay, she's not an idiot after all

Momo: if you're nervous then it's okay, you'll do great. You have to give it your all

Kaoru: I know but...this is Todoroki we're talking about. He has a perfect quirk, and now that he's using his fire I'm doubly screwed

Momo: don't say that. Remember Uraraka's fight? Sure she may have lost but she fought until the end. It's not the quirk that matters, it's the one that uses it

Kaoru: yeah...yeah you're right. Thanks Momo, I needed that

Momo:*smiles* of course

Mom....I-I wanna be a hero just like grandma was

You'll be a great hero Kaoru, I believe in you

I smile to myself remembering those words

Momo: you should probably get ready soon. Your fight is about to start

Kaoru: probably. Alright, let's do this

Momo:*holds out fist* pound it?

Kaoru:*bumps her fist* pound it

Once I refill with electricity I head off to the ring

Present Mic: alright people! Let's get to the first match of the semifinals!

Kaoru:*thinks* alright, the next hurdle coming right up

Present Mic: both these students have shown some great skills! This will be the battle of the best. From the hero course, Kaoru Shirogane! Versus, his classmate, Shoto Todoroki!

Kaoru:*thinks* I'm not gonna back down from this fight, I know who I am, and what my goal is. Todoroki is a hurdle for me to jump over, so I'm gonna give it my all!
