Episode 7: Audition and New Friend!

Took a while again, but here it is. Trying to find more time to write, but just can't. At least I got this done. The song this time roughly translates to Soul in Flower Petals by Tadokoro Azusa.

A few days later after Yumiko's performance, it is almost the day for Yurina to participate in her audition. Yurina is in her room with Ai, poking Ai's cheek while on the bed.

Ai "Kyuu?"

Yurina sighs and says "Only two days left, can I pass?"

Yurina's roommate Kumi comes back and immediately complains "Are you done worrying? You and that thing are quite close. You are also not too bad as an idol, if you can't make it, it just means you are not what they are looking for."

Yurina "But don't idols make it as appealing as possible so we get chosen? I wonder how can I make myself more appealing while with Ai."

Kumi sighs "You just don't get it, do you?"

Yurina wonders "Eh?"

Kumi then gets into her bed "Forget it, I'm going to sleep."

Yurina "Hey! Don't leave me hanging here!"

Kumi ignores Yurina and sleeps.

Yurina sighs and picks up Ai then mutters "Why can't we just get along? This is a little annoying."

Ai wonders "Kyu?"

Yurina looks at Ai for a bit then gets out of the bed "Whatever, I'm gonna go for a run!"

Yurina then runs changes her clothes and runs out with Ai on her shoulder. Yurina then heads out to the garden for the run.

After running for a while, the sun is starting to set.

Yurina "Aikatsu, Aikatsu, Aikatsu..."

Besides her, Ai is running as well. However, when Yurina makes a turn, a girl is crouching on the ground, looking at the flowers.

Yurina "Uwaaa!"

Girl "Ehh? Ahhh!"

Yurina crashes into the girl and fell on top of her.

Yurina and the girl "Ow..."

They look at each other and quickly separates while apologizing.

Yurina "Sorry! I didn't mean to run into you!"

The girl shakes her hands to deny it "No, I'm the one at fault. I shouldn't have crouched down where it is hard to see."

Yurina and the girl look at each other for a bit before Yurina smiles and say "By the way, I'm Yurina, Shizu Yurina."

The girl "Ah, I'm Ayu, Hakuma Ayu of year one class C minus."

Yurina "C minus... wow... I'm only in class D minus"

Ayu blushes a little "Ah, no it's just I'm lucky. You see, my family runs a veterinarian clinic and we happened to get visited by an idol during an event two years ago. It seems like the staff has liked me since then. So I had gotten the chance to act as an extra and even gotten a chance to perform before I came. So I kind of got a head start."

Ai then climbs onto Yurina and rests on her shoulder. Yurina pets Ai before responding.

Yurina "I see, but if your family runs a veterinarian clinic... does that mean you are participating in the audition?"
