Adora swims frantically through the bustling city with my trying to keep up behind her.

We come to an old structure that reminded me of a Roman coliseum. There were all sorts of plants growing in the pearl white columns.

"He's waiting for you" she smiles at me and stops at the entrance of the coliseum.

"This is as far as I go. I must leave you know. Good luck!" She smiles sadly. Her happiness disappeared with her as she swam away.

I scrunched my eyes in confusion as I swam quietly through the entrance.

It looked eerily abondanded. Not matching the outside city at all. Steps that could also be seats were cracked, rubble lined the walls, seaweed grew everywhere on the ocean floor.

There were no fish here. None. This place looked void of any life except for mine.

Towards the far side of the arena a raised dais sat a large throne made of corals. Sitting upon the throne is a large man who seemed to be in his late fifty's but I had a feeling he was much older. In his left hand was a king deadly looking trident.

My eyes widen in realization of who this man his. His tail was a dark and deep blue that almost looked black. His chest was littered in scars. A long white beard floated with the current. His hair was long and white as well.

A large scar is over his right eye as his hand grips the trident tighter. He wears a deep scowl on a hard aged face.

"Come here girl." His voice booms making me jump.

I hesitate before swimming until I am a few feet from him. From here I can see his features much clearer. And a chain is tied around his tail into the throne. One fin seemed to be cut or ripped off from his tail.

He leans in closer as his being radiates authority.

"Girl. Do you know who I am?" He speaks in a hoarse voice.

"I have a feeling." It comes out surprisingly calm. This man doesn't scare me though he should.

"King triton. Ruler of the sea's. Your father and king." He grits out.

"I gathered that part." I say calmly keeping a straight face. This man will see none of my weaknesses.

"You look more like me. This is good. Your siblings all resembled your mother; it disgusted me." He sneers.

"Siblings?" I ask

He waves his hand as if to brush it off but as he  sees my face he indulges my curiosity.

"Yes many of them. Most boys. Force fighters, terrible sons. They all wished to over throw me and rule for themselves but none could beat me in a duel for the throne. All died as they should have. You are my second daughter. The youngest of my children. Your sister fell in love with some useless male above water. Begged me to make her human." He laughed bitterly as he recalled the memory.

"I granted her request only to have the human male kill her. I had warned her before she left with the fool that he would betray her. She didn't listen. A hundred years or two passed when your mother and I conceived you. You were my favorite but her least favorite. She despised having daughters. Said they took the attention away from herself. I adored you. You fought harder than my sons in training and were my only child to resemble me. Your mother was a selfish whore who wished for my attention. I only used her for procreation. Unless she was bearing my children I never paid her any mind. After having 30 children you'd think she'd understand this."

My eyes widened at the number he just said. Thirty? Thirty kids? My parents were a bunch of horny bastards huh. The way he spoke about my mother didn't bother me.
