Phoenix's Flame (Kazuha x Reader)

*Chapter 12*

Third POV:

"Came to see Y/N again today?" Ayaka asked with glimmers of amusement dancing between her eyes. 

"It's a lovely day today and I had nothing better to do, is that so wrong?" Kazuha replied.

"No not at all." Ayaka says before letting Kazuha into the Kamisato residence.

Earlier that day the guards saw Kazuha approaching and had a panic attack. One of them went as far as jumping into a pond of fishes to hide away from the boy, it appears the Kaedehara boy had left quite the impression on them. 

"She's in her room as per usual, I'll be heading out so there's be no one at the residence but some guards and maids. They'll usually stick out in the front though so you guys can have some alone time." She says before leaving.

"I see..." Kazuha replies "thank you for your assistance."

"Kazuha!" Y/N says before going to the boy for a hug. "Hi." 

Catching the girl in a hug he proceeds to throw out complements  "Hello princess, you look as beautiful as always." 

 "Psh... stop flirting."

"You know can't deny me." 

"What do you mean by that?" Y/N asked confused.

"Don't worry about it." Kazuha says with a mischievous smile. "Care to hangout with me for the day? I know a place you'll certainly love."

"Where are we going?" Y/N asked as she followed Kazuha along the stone path. 

"Oh you'll see." Kazuha says showing no signs of concern, he was as relaxed as ever. As they walked through the comfortable nature he stops just in time to pick up a flower and hand it over to the girl. "Say princess, when was the last time you were given proper time to relax. 

"I don't mind working overtime if it means I'd get to spend more time helping my family." Y/N replies flawlessly putting the flower up in her hair. 

"Always so hard working~" Kazuha teases before stopping. "Why don't you use the opportunity to take a break, I have a feeling you'll quite like this place."

"And this place is? Can't you tell me the whereabouts before talking so highly about an area I've never heard of?"

"Don't bother, we've arrived."

In front of Kazuha stood a market full of people, foods and cultures. There were items from Mondstadt, Liyue and more all filled in the stalls. Excitement glimmered in Y/N's eyes as she dragged Kazuha along to every single store. The boy paid as the princess shopped from stand to stand buying foods and goods from all over the world.

"Gee my wallet could use a break." Kazuha says while laughing at Y/N's arms filled with gifts and others. 

"I do feel bad for making you pay for all of these..." Y/N says as a pang of guilt hits her. "Anything you want in return?"

"Hmmm..." The boy thought with care before a playful jolt awakened in his eyes. "A kiss. I want a kiss." 

"Another one on the cheek?" 

"No, no, I want one right here." Kazuha says while pointing at his lips. "Give me a kiss on the lips and we'll call it even."

"What! No way! Ayaka would butcher you." 

"I'm ready to face that if it means I get to steal another kiss~"

The girl stood in one spot contemplating before sighing and giving in.

"I- fine..." Y/N says before leaning up and placing a kiss on Kazuha's lips. "There, now we're even." she says ignoring the burning sensation on her face, which was copied by the latter. 

"I just stole the princess's first kiss~" Kazuha says flaunting the words around. 

"Hey! don't say that-"

"So I'm wrong?"

"Well no but-"

"Then what else is there to say."

"You're impossible." The princess says before smacking Kazuha with a stick.

"Where did the stick even come from..." The boy says rubbing his head.

"I received it from the heavens to beat you up." 

"Hey that's not fair!" Kazuha says while attempting to strike back at the girl. However his tries were quickly denied when Y/N did a 180 and tripped him causing him to land on the grass. 

She places a foot on the top of his forehead and an offers a cocky smile, "checkmate."

"Oh really? I'm quite enjoying the view from down here actually, you should do it more often." Kazuha says with a mischievous grin. 

Y/N knocked him out after his statement 

Fun Facts:

- After seeing how happy Y/N was running around from shop to shop Kazuha swore he'd bring her here more often just to see that smile. 

- He felt as if his heart was going to explode when Y/N gave him a kiss on the lips and was thankful he didn't burst into pieces right there. 

- Ayaka shook Kazuha awake after Y/N brought him to the Kamisato estate unconscious and proceeded to chase after the boy with a sword.
