TW! Mentions of death (you have been warned)

3rd Person PoV

"Where's your brother?", Ruv asked the whereabouts of his insolent child as he leaned his weight on the doorframe. He is tired, he had just finished doing all the work of fixing up the kitchen. His son always knows what buttons to push.

"He went out", Rasazy answered in frantic. She was pacing around the room, desperately looking for something.

Ruv went silent and only observed his child go around the room like a delirious person, which is characteristically unlike her.

He is bamboozled, to say the least. He wasn't aware of the critical state that was going on.

He observed intently at every movement his daughter made, her actions were driven by the sweating bed-ridden girl.

Concern was very certain, he is feeling concerned not only for his daughter but also for the poor girl that looks like her life is being taken away.

Alas, he cannot show any expression, he did not frown, nor had his eyebrows close together. But his eyes clearly held care and worry.

"I'll go get Sarv", He uttered deeply, leaving the room in a brisk-walking manner. He knew the urgency of the matter and he knew that the nun can help the poor ones.

"Sarv", He spoke out loud to the hall he's in, knowing very well that his voice would reach her ears.

And it seems that he is right.

Sarvente had appeared behind a door, a questioning look is present in her pink features.

She was rather confused as to why Ruv was calling out to her, usually it was her who needs to call him, but this is a peculiar case.

"What is it?", She curiously asked the stiff man. She's starting to feel quite uneasy at the look Ruv was giving. It's a grave look.

He kept a straight face and sucked in a very deep breath before he calmly stated the situation.

"Something is going on with the girl", Ruv felt shaken, a feeling he had not felt in so long. His heart is hammering inside of him as he finally felt the panic gradually rise from within. But he remembered to keep a straight face.

Sarvente had a gut feeling that a tragedy is going to occur this night. She felt it when her son brought that girl with him. She's also certain that her son felt it too.

"Where is she?", She anxiously asked the girl's current location as she quickly swiped her bible that she was previously reading.

"Rasazy's room", That was all it took for the both of them to dash to their daughter's room.

They aren't very sure why they're so anxious about it. Ruv thought that maybe it's because his daughter being all so worked up is very foreign to him.

They had made it to the room in no time, and there they saw Rasazy tending to the poor girl in worry.

Sarvente felt her heartache at the sight. A girl who is sweating excessively in grievous pain.

She has her face contorted painfully as her chest is violently heaving up and down and hearing her pitiful gasping and panting. It was horrible.

"She's in stage 2", Rasazy had briefly explained to her mother about the condition in agitation as she used another towel to wipe the reappearing sweat on (Y/N)'s forehead.

"I know... I hope she's strong enough to survive it", She muttered in sympathy. She knew the incoming fate for this poor soul.

"It is a rarity to get through stage 2 especially for a human girl, very few have barely survived. Most of them died", Sarvente grimly stated, feeling her chest getting heavy with the horrible truth. This poor girl is going to face death tonight.

Rasazy's hope has crumbled after hearing what her mother said, she doesn't want to cry but it seems that she can't hold back the flowing tears. She grew attached to (Y/N), even if they just met.

Ruv only watched in sympathy, funny enough, he also felt sympathy for himself too. He cannot express anything in a situation like this.

Sarvente slid her bible under (Y/N)'s cold hand as she knelt beside her. She pressed her palms together and started a prayer.

Rasazy always wondered if God can really hear the prayers of the feeble. But she thought it was impossible, for the situation would've been better if God did heed our prayers.

Rasazy looked away and wiped her tears, but to no avail, the tears kept on falling. She could really use a hug right now.

Maybe God chose to ignore our desperate calls, for the ones who were calling out to him are his enemies; Lucifer herself with her children and two criminals. Rasazy felt miserable.

Ruv had only taken a seat and watched the pitiable state. He thinks it's best if he accompanied the poor soul till her last breath.

Sarvente kept on praying with strong faith, she hoped and prayed for this girl's life, but it seems that God is playing with them, almost mocking them.

They had expected it, but still, the feeling of losing a person to whom you had hoped to live is beyond heartbreaking.

Sarvente stopped her prayer when she sensed the girl's life drift away.

Everyone had noticed the stillness in the air, no movement, no sound, only the recognizable feeling of grief has hung in the air.

Her once pain-induced face is now resting, her complexion also paling even more as time grows and her once heavy breathing had stopped.
