Selever's PoV

I glided through the setting sun, colors of orange, yellow, and red had beautifully blended the sky.

I was supposed to head back to the church but, (Y/N)'s wellbeing had come to my mind.

I smoothly landed from my flight on the pavement next to a drugstore. I thought that getting her some painkillers would help. I didn't know if human medicine would work, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

I entered the drugstore, feeling the cold air-conditioned place greet my face. No other people are inside, just a guy behind the counter. Hopefully, the pharmacist won't snitch and cause another police chase.

I approached the counter a bit wearily, all the running and flying burned me out.

"Ten tablets of painkiller", I requested tiredly at the guy. He just nodded at me and went to the back, followed by a few quiet sounds of bottles shaking.

I patiently waited for the guy to come back, leaning my weight against the counter to at least get some rest. My legs fucking hurt. I could also use some painkillers.

As I was waiting, I heard a few hushed deeps breathes at the back along with the sound of a couple of boxes hitting each other.

I tapped my fingers on the cold countertop along with a song that was playing in my head, it's a good song, and the best part is that it's my theme song.

I waited and waited, minutes went by and no sign of the pharmacist yet. I grew impatient and was about to go to the back where the pharmacist went, but the guy finally showed himself and handed me the tablets.

"What took you so fucking long, dude", I complained to the pharmacist. He gave me a sheepish smile and scratched his nape.

"I was organizing a bit on the back shelf", He explained as he tried to cover up his late appearance. I knew this dipshit is lying, I saw him slip his phone in his pocket, fucking snitch.

I narrowed my eyes threateningly at the guy, clearly showing him that I don't buy the bullshit he said.

"Organize my ass, I know you did something else back there. You fucking called the cops didn't you?", I aggressively started, startling and catching the pharmacist red-handed.

"I-I had to. You're a wanted criminal", He stammered out as he backed up in alarm. Tsk, I fucking knew it.

"So you really did call the police, huh? Y'know, I would've believed your lie if you said you were jerking off back there", I sneered at the guy before briskly walking out of the pharmacy, not even bothering to pay anymore. I'm fucking tired and I don't want the police to come after my ass again.

I ignored the aching feeling of my legs and ran as fast as I could back home. It's already dark out and I could've gone home earlier. Thanks to the fucking police and the bitch-ass snitches.

I went behind a tree to catch my breath as I looked around to make sure no one is in sight.

I felt the cold night air breeze through my sweat-drenched clothes, gradually cooling me down. Thanks, mother nature.

I sat down on the grassy earth and leaned my back in the thick trunk of the tree. Man, this is oddly peaceful. I like it.

I can still feel my sweat rolling down my temples as I sighed out in exhaustion. I did so much running and stealing today.
