You were excited for tonight. Kuroo was taking you out on a birthday date at the festival downtown. It was the weekend and you were taking a break from studies to relax before the workload started to get heavier.
You and Eva were having a little afternoon snack date since later that night you were spending the night with Kuroo. Apparently he was taking you some place for a surprise date. It would be the first date for the two of you since you cleared up everything with Kenma but you knew Kuroo and Kenma haven't talked yet, which made you kind of upset.
"Soooo what are you and Kuroo doing tonight? You guys fix things?" She questioned.
"Yeah actually, everything went well, Kenma is happy for us and everything, it's great, well everything besides me parents is great." You finally started opening up to Eva about everything. You knew you could trust her now, it's not like you didn't trust her in the first place but you've been spending a lot more time with her and you're glad you have. She's always opened up to you so why not open up to her about the things on your mind. It only made sense.
"Aw girl, everything is going to work out, it always does for you. Trust me."
"I know. Kuroo is taking me out tonight but I'm not sure where."
"Oh speaking of, I can't believe you're 20 now! You're not a teen anymore, girl. I'm so proud of you and everything you've been through and accomplished. I just know you're going to be so successful in life."
"Aw Eva, that means so much to me." You reached out for her hand which was at the other side of the table and squeezed it.
"Of course, you're my bestie!" She let go of your hand and she reached under the table and grabbed the gift bag she's been waiting to give you. "Don't get mad but I got you multiple gifts."
"Aw, Eva." You said as she handed you the bag. You opened it and to your surprise there was a set of Erlenmeyer flasks but mini, they were shot glasses, in addition to a charm bracelet from Pandora as well as a gift card for $75 for a bookstore. You were in awe at Eva's gifts and you genuinely didn't know what to say. These were really sweet gifts that you didn't know Eva actually really understood you.
"Eva... These are... Wow... Thank you so much." You smiled and a tear came out of your eyes.
"Girl, why are you crying."
"This is really sweet of you. I just really appreciate it. My parents don't even give me anything except anxiety attacks and mental breakdowns."
"Aw, it's never a problem for you, you're my best friend. I'd do anything for you, I'm always here for you no matter what."
"Stop it Eva I'm gonna cry." You got up and gave her a hug.
"You're the best, I hope you know that y/n, I really appreciate you being my friend."
"You too Eva."
