Daughter of the Black Dragon (Kano X Daughter reader)

Part 5

      "Giving her your jacket was a dumb move, know Kano knows we're on to him," Sonya scolded Johnny, smacking his shirtless back making him almost jump into the air.

       "But it's the one place he didn't check," Johnny grinned, wiggling the tracking device in her face. She huffed.

       "Good work, grab your gear,"

          Y/n has been stuck inside ever since she met the man at the ice rink. She isn't even allowed in the backyard without Kano by her side. She is only allowed outside for thirty minutes before Kano would scoop her up and bring her inside. She huffed, feeling stuck as Kano placed her on the sofa. He turned on the Tv, putting on her favorite show before ruffling her hair affectionately. 

   "I'm gonna be in my office ok? You need anything I'll be there," he kissed her forehead, making her stuck out her tongue.

    "I'm too old for that," she crossed her arms. Kano laughed.

     "You never get too old for kisses," he kissed her cheek, she let out a loud "icky!" And slopes to her side. Kano laughed and flicked her nose.

      "You're so dramatic," he smiled at her scowl. It reminds him so much of his own, but on a small adorable girl. He shivered at the thought of her becoming a teen. The amount of trouble he got into just at her age was astounding. He was raised on the street of Australia, his mom didn't care much about his absence in the house as long as she had the money for booze. And when his pa was out the slammer he was beating the shit out of Kano for even looking at him wrong. Not the best childhood but it made him the man he was.

     Kano never wanted to be a father, he always thought somehow he'd slip up and harm his kids in his head. Could imagine drink into a stupor and tossing a bottle at the wall, making them flinch and pull away from him.

But then he slept with a woman, a whore, or just some partygoer he doesn't remember, but Y/n was the best thing to happen to him. He felt like he could just push away his not-so-secret criminal life to just cater to this child's needs. He had such a strong bond, and a need to raise her better than he was.

He remembered the day he was told the baby was his. Kano at first wholeheartedly believed it couldn't be his. Kano was an older guy, over 60 to be precise. Kano shook his head and refused to look at the baby or sign any papers until there was proof of a DNA test.

The doctors came back with proof of it being his, then placed the newborn baby into his arms. Explaining how the mother passed giving birth. Kano didn't care, he was too enamored with the small baby in his arms. When she looked at him, she knew from the start who he was. She flexed her clenched fists, reaching for his face. Kano almost cried when she touched his faceplate and cooed with interest and excitement only a newborn could have.

It wasn't easy at first, Kano still had no clue how to raise kids or babies. But after many trials and errors, he'd say he was a decent parent. Criminal or not. And never had he ever raised a hand to his little girl, he will never be like his father-

Kano feels distracted by the Tv, Y/ns cartoons were playing, and he was sure he's seen this episode over a hundred times already.  He let her be and walked to his office, he left the door cracked open so Y/n had easy access if she needed him. He groaned as he sat down on his worn-out leather desk chair, he could swear he saw dust poof from the sides of the chair. It's been long senses he did any work at his home office, he had to stop once Y/n came into his life since he used to stash...not to legal parts and weapons he was working on in his office.

Kano laid the blueprints out on the desk, his eye implant scanned the blueprints. Forming and putting each piece together in his head. He watched as a tremendous machine was protected from his implant, showing off the blueprints results. Kano scoffed at first, stareing at the blueprints like an overpriced meal, but his tune changed as more of the blueprints became clear.
