The house was booming with bollywood songs playing in the background, kids running around, Ronit and Doniya freaking out and Maya and Zayn calming Their siblings down.

To say that each and every person was ecstatic about the upcoming events was an understatement.

It was a tradition, that the henna, that was to be applied to the bride and the groom was made by my elders of the house. Right now, all the last minute preparations were going on.

Because of the customs that the bride and the groom cannot see each other after the engagement, Maya and Shruti came up with the idea to put a curtain between both of them.

Ronit had to go last minute shopping so he left, after the henna on his dried off.

Currently, Doniya was getting her feet and hands done. Maya was looking for Shruti, the girl disappeared to find someone who could apply the lemon on her hand.

The elders of the house had decided that the partner of every girl has to apply the oils and lemon on her hand.
It was easy for them to say but hard for the single people in the house.

Wahliya and Safaa ended up as a pair. Some cousins of Doniya and Ronit paired up. The only people left were Maya, Shruti, Niall, Harry and a few cousins.

Harry made his way to Maya, inner him admiring her every second.

"You look lost" She snapped her neck at the sudden deep raspy voice but relaxed when she saw his pale green eyes.

"Er, yeah just.." She gestured towards the tiny oil bottle on the nearby table.

Harry picked up the bottle and gestured her to sit.

She hesitantly sat and he poured some drops of the weird smelling oil in her soft henna covered hands and gently rubbing it in small circles. His touch sending chills down her spine.

"You look lovely tonight" he said, breaking the silence between them. She raised an eyebrow. "I-I mean you always do, but-"

"Damn, Harry I was joking" She says trying to stop the boy who let out a breath of relief.
