Shizuo was waiting outside of Izaya's room in the hospital.

He didn't know why he was doing this, he just felt compelled too.

For the first time since he had met Izaya he felt guilty for ever wanting to kill him, now knowing full well the outcome of his actions.

At the moment he was the only one seemingly waiting for Izaya to wake up. Not Shinra, Celty or even his sisters.

He suddenly felt angry that he was the only one waiting for Izaya. Didn't they care? He concluded that they might be running on a tight schedule.

The nurse came out of Izaya's room. ' He's awake. ' She said.

Shizuo quickly rushed into the hospital room. He didn't know why he was so eager to see his nemesis, he guessed it was just out of compassion for what had happened. Even if Shizuo is quite the violent one, he wouldn't want to hurt someone he knew that badly.

Shizuo did not know what had caused the drastic change in his views towards Izaya, he would have to find out once he talked to him.

' Hi there, Shizu-chan. ' Izaya managed to say, not even smirking.

He had a slight smile on his face, but his eyes were sad.

' He is suffering slight trauma because of the height at which he fell, and also how he landed. ' The nurse said, looking suspiciously at Shizuo.

' Could you give us a moment? ' Shizuo calmly asked the nurse.

' Sure thing. '

' What are you doing here? ' Izaya questioned, to the point of sounding angry, but a slight hint of fear hung in his voice.

' I-I... ' Shizuo couldn't find what he going to say, it's not like he had planned out a whole speech.

' I... wanted... to... ' Now he was finding it really hard to actually speak.

' Spit it out, Shizuo. ' Izaya snapped, with cold venom in his voice.

Shizuo suddenly stepped back, he had never heard Izaya speak like that, and with that expression too. Izaya's current face  was harsh and full of loathe.

' I wanted to apologize. ' Shizuo finally said.

' WHAT?! After what you did, Shizuo, is that really and adecuate response?! ' Izaya yelled. ' Shouldn't you be happy?! '

Now Shizuo really was stunned. No one had ever had the courage to speak to him that way.

' The truth is, Izaya, I really feel sorry for what happened. ' Shizuo stated calmly. ' I don't know what has changed, but I suddenly feel different about you. '

Izaya was shocked and speechless. Shizuo would have normally been satisfied with the look on Izaya's face, but he wasn't.

That's when Izaya's twin sisters came in looking worried, ' Are you all right Iza-nii??? '

' We'll talk some more about this after you get out. ' Shizuo said flatly as he left.

How was chapter 2? I think I might update this every 3 days, but I think it would be more about whenever I feel inspired. I already have an idea for the next chapter, but I need to work on it.
