In Denial (Shizaya)

Confrontation

' What was that? ' Izaya said after holding his breath for quite a while.

' I said I love you. '

Shizuo was now certain about his feelings for Izaya. He just couldn't deny them anymore.

There was a long pause as Izaya processed what had been said.

He really enjoyed that kiss, like it was real. But he needed time to think about Shizuo's confession first.

He wandered how they could go from being enemies to lovers so quickly, and the fact that Shizuo was bent on killing before this moment.

' I'm sorry, Shizuo, but I need some time to think about this. '

Shizuo was a bit hurt by Izaya's uncertainty, but he understood.

' I understand. ' Shizuo said as he turned to leave.

' I'll get back to you as soon as possible. '

' Alright. '

After Shizuo had left, Izaya turned to Namie, who had been there the whole time, but wasn't exactly listening.

' Namie? '

' Hmm? '

' I need a shower. '

' Oh, fantastic. ' Namie was not thrilled.

In the shower, Izaya was in deep thought about Shizuo and his own feelings.

He thought he should probably consult someone about this problem, but he didn't know who.

His sisters would just tell him to go straight to Shizuo's house and get it on, so they were out of the question.

Namie really couldn't care less, so she would be useless.

Izaya decided that Shinra and Celty were his best bet.

After his shower, Izaya told Namie what he wanted to do.

' I need to go see Shinra and Celty. '

Namie started to regret ever becoming Izaya's secretary.

Shinjuku was not far from Ikebukuro, but since Namie didn't want to be seen pushing Izaya around in his wheelchair, they decided to take the train.

They arrived at Shinra and Celty's apartment and about to ring the doorbell.

Shinra answered, ' Oh, hey there Namie, Izaya. '

Shinra looked nervous because they both had an extreme resting bitchface, which was quite unusual for Izaya.

' You didn't even care to visit me. ' Izaya said with a smug look on his face.

' Uh, well, you see... '

' Alright, I get it, nobody cares. Don't try and make crappy excuses. '

' Call me when you need picking up. ' Namie exhaled as she left.

' Please come in. ' Shinra told Izaya.

As they went in Izaya saw Celty on her computer talking to people on the Dollars message board.

' Oh hey, Izaya, what brings you here? ' She typed on her phone.

' I need advice. '

Both Shinra and Celty seemed very intrigued, since Izaya wasn't the one to ask for advice.

' Do tell. '

Izaya sighed and said, ' Shizuo confessed his love to me earlier today. '

' What?! ' Shinra shouted and Celty typed on her phone with three exclamation marks.

' He also kissed me. '

They were both dumbfounded.

' I think I'm starting to fall in love with him too. '

Shinra and Celty had no idea of what had brought about this sudden change in their relationship, but they were willing to help Izaya.

' I don't think I can forgive Shizuo for what has happened to me, but it has changed the way he views me. And I really enjoyed it when he kissed me. '

Celty started to type, ' I think you should tell Shizuo how you really feel about him, are you positive about your feelings? '

' After giving it some thought, yes. I love him. '

' That settles it, ' Celty typed enthusiastically, ' Shinra, phone around to try and get Shizuo's location, Izaya, I'm going to take you to where Shizuo is and you can tell him how you feel. '

' Now? '

' Yes now. '

They found out that Shizuo was in the middle of a fight with some of the Toramaru guys, but Celty didn't care what he was doing, she was going to take Izaya up there.

Her motorcycle turned into a van and her and Izaya drove up to the back alley where Shizuo was fighting Toramaru.

Once they got there, Celty pushed Izaya toward Shizuo and proceeded to fight Toramaru herself.

' Izaya...? '

Shizuo was cut off as Izaya pulled down his shirt to get him down to his level and kissed him pationatly.

Evetually Shizuo picked Izaya up from his wheelchair so it was easier to kiss him and hug him.

When they finished, Izaya smiled and said ' I love you, Shizuo. '

Shizuo smiled back, ' I love you too, Izaya. '

Celty typed on her phone, ' You two are just so cute! ' With a heart at the end.

Sorry for updating it one day late, I hope it was worth the wait. I had a lot of inspiration from the newest episode of Durarara, so this chapter was longer than usual. I am having a lot of fun writing this, and hope to make it last long ^_^
