Chapter 13: True feelings (part 1)

Y/N POV:

We were walking for almost half an hour but we finally reached the store that Lydia said, we entered and it was a great surprise to see at least 7 people staring at me.

I felt a little uncomfortable thinking that it had been more than a week and people were still amazed that there was a human walking through the city.

Finally, after a few seconds, Lydia and I entered the store and walked the aisles in search of food to see the movie.

I grab some chips and Lydia grab some "ditos" while I went to the fridge and grabbed some non-alcoholic drinks obviously and while walking back I grabbed some instant popcorn that you put in the oven and after a few minutes they are ready.

As I returned with Lydia I could see that she grabbed ketchup and mayonnaise to combine with the french fries and she also grabbed a small bag of "chiitos", but a lady who was passing by the same hall looked at us and said a few words that...

Random woman: Oh, you are the human who became famous on the internet right? and... I see you brought your girlfriend

She said to which Lydia and I blushed like never before and looked at each other to see the lady again.

Lydia, Y/N: ¡We are only friends!

We said almost screaming while we were still blushing

Y/N: We're just friends ma'am, we came to buy some things

Random woman: Oh sorry my apologies, I thought you guys, you know...

Lydia: N-No, we're just passing through, that's all

Lydia said trying not to sound nervous

After the awkward moment and the misunderstanding we had with the lady, we were both still a bit uncomfortable but we went to pay for things

We arrived at the checkout and a friendly man attended us, who went through all the things without much complication, until ...

Cashier: Ok, in total it would be 17.48

(Y/M): Okay, I have the money, I will pay for everything

(L/M): I have money to help buy things, it would be rude for him to pay for everything

Lydia, Y/N: I will pay

Lydia and I looked at each other with wide eyes surprised by the other's response.

Y/N: Lydia please is not necessary, I can pay for everything

Lydia: No Y/N, it would be rude for you to pay for everything, let me help

Y/N: You are my guest, I insist

Lydia: No, I insist

Cashier: Couple fights, eh?

Said the cashier to which me and Lydia looked at him and blushed again.

Lydia, Y/N: ¡What!?

After the other misunderstanding we had with the cashier, Lydia and I ended up in an agreement that she would pay for the lesser items and I would pay the rest.
