The loud bell rang through out the massive "HIGH SCHOOL." Teenage students raced out their classrooms; eager to leave. They filled up the hallways as well as their voices and laughter: blue shiny locker doors blasted opened and closed and water sprang up from the water foundation as people pouted to drink the refreshing water. The brick walls - painted blue - smiled in the spring sunlight. Inside the classrooms were wide wooden brown tables that were designed with a few carved swirls. A big, flat smart board was attached to the front wall, where every one could see. At the corner of the same wall hovered an expensive looking flat screen above the teachers desk. The white tile floors shined below the numerous footsteps and skated throughout every inch of the school. The entrance glass door swinged open as group of friends walked out of the school and down the stairs.
A green front yard hugged all around the front of the school and green blossoming trees stretched out their new leaves. A thick white sign sat in front of the school with a dashing line of blue that read:
Skylar Academy
But, beyond the front entrance , behind the academy laid a huge open field basketball court. A big , blue squared , roof covered on top of it. The grass was freshly cut and adorned around the court quite spaciously and around the court , hard cement stair like seats were adorned for fans to watch the games. But, today it was all empty. In the corner of all this sat a small building where music was performed and yet was close to the academy. It appered to be small yet it was very spacious and wonderful. The boys basketball team practiced some exercises on the grass. Their eyes glimmered with effort. A big , false, mighty seagull in a tight blue shirt with their school name , tried new dance moves , for it was the school mascot.
It did some jazz hands then shaked its head in disagreement.
A boy jogged over to the team that was still exercising as he threw his duffel bag over the nearby bench. He quickly blended in and started to do some jumping jacks. A small drop of sweat rolled down his tanned cheek. His caramel brown bangs bounced along with his medium-long hair. The boy seemed around the age of 17 and seemed to be kind of tall. His blue basketball team spaghetti shirt strapped around his fit body. Any girl thought he was cute and even more when he was athletic. Just in time, two girls passed by and when he got a glimpse of them, he gave them a flirty smile. They giggled - flattered. His brown eyes flickered.
"Blaze, just stop man ," another young athlete beside him said. The guy was taller than him and far more pumped up. His brown static hair shot up and his dark brown eyes stared down at blaze. He was the same age as him yet he was more developed and a string of jealousy passed through blaze but he shaked it off. Blaze smirked and said "No harm done right orion?"
He glanced back at the girls but, they were gone.
Orion sighed.
"Yea but your such a flirt," a boy commented behind them.
He wasn't as tall as Orion but taller than blaze ; by a few inches or so.
Plus, his spikey black hair made it seem so too. He had rich brown eyes and quite fit.
He stretched to the left , as the hot sunlight hit his right cheek with a gust of fresh wind involved. He was also the same age as the other two.A musclar coach walked along the boys, observing their moves while he placed his hands behind his big tight body. The boys quickly shut their mouths. The coach wore a Blue cap and a whistle hung down his neck. He seemed the perfect coach from the movies but he had quite an attitude behind it all.
"Faster!" he yelled at the boys and they obeyed.
'Sheesh,' Blaze thought as he rolled his eyes.
A strong wind soon washed in, knocking the coaches cap away. The coaches reflexes weren't fast enough that the cap flew with the wind. It danced with the wind until it hit a young girls feet. She turned around; her brown curls swaying backwards and her short, square bangs spliting into two. S She smiled as she tightned her hold on a messy stack of papers in between one arm and leaned down to the cap. Her small chest pressed down and scopped up the cap. The coach walked towards her with a straight face. Her square purple button shirt flew up slightly and she giigled as to notice. They werent far from the basketball boys practicing and they seemed to notice the action from the distance. Some continued exercises while some sort of did so. The girl was rather young; in between the age of 14 or 15. When the coach stood face to face with the girl , she handed the cap to its rightful owner. She grinned as the man put him cap; making sure it was tight around his head.
"Thank you...miss..?" the coach asked with a tilted look.
"Miss Quezz. Lucia Quezz," Lucia replied as she extanded out her free hand.
The coach shook her hand firmly and nodded in pleasure. They stood there for a while and then parted their own ways. The coach turned around and started to walk towards the boys. The boys jumped at the coaches scary glare and continued on what they had left on. The girl had entered a rather-big brick building that laid in distance of the basketball "stadium." In that building high level students practiced instrumental music. Since there was no where else, they practiced there:away from the school building to have their loud music privacy. The sun soon began to lower down to the horizon and basketball practice was over. The three boys headed towards the immense parking lot.
"Mman am I tired," complained blaze. He held his hands behind his head tiredly. Orion walked beside him and so did Lowell. A big black limo soon rolled along the boys and stopped a few feet away. It honked loudly and the boys turned around. The same girl from before came rushing to the alarming sound. She smiled at the boys as she quickly raced to the car door and opened it. As she was about to jump in she waved goodbye at the strangers. Blaze raised his hands to motion a goodbye as well but Orion soon slapped his hand down. Blaze moaned at the small sting and shoot Orion a mean glare.
"What the heck man," he was finally able to say. Orion smirked and the limo was soon out of sight.
"Wonder who that girl was. Are we walking home today guys?" Lowell asked his friends.
Blaze and Orion exchanged a glance and shurgged in agreement. They walked along the cement sidewalk. The streets were newly coaled in black and the street lightbulbs flickered. The boys neighborhood wasnt far from their school academy and neither was their capital city.
"We should visit the city soon," Lowell cut through the silence.
"Yea sure I guess," Blaze replied.
"But don't you go around buying everything you little rich boy," he then added.
Lowell chuckled and said, " We are on the same wealth level."
Orion shrugged and soon they came to a row of big fancy houses. Their front yards had grass perfectly cut and the grand gates protected the wealthy houses from In front. The houses were close together yet they were spaced apart. From close or afar you could notice the houses were two stories high. The three boys smiled at the sight of their homes. The sun's last sunlight shined in the horizon.
Lowell waved goodbye at his friends and leaved towards his home and later so did the others. They entered their homes tiredly and slammed their big glass doors.
Maryland was the home of these half god teenagers on earth.
