Marcie locked the door and flipped the switch to the overhead lights. Jade lit some candles in the centre of the circle formed by everyone. The séance began.

Arryn waited in the dark, straining her ears for signs for trouble. She heard Marcie walk towards the circle, there was a scrape across the floor as Marcie pushed the empty dishes and cans of beer away from you all and towards her closet.

Then there came a hush of annoyance from Andrew, interminable silence followed. "If I die, it's your fault you wimp." He angrily said to Wexler.

"No one's going to die." You said hurriedly.

Xaevien shifted in his position. "We need to select a person as the medium to lead the séance."

"I'll be that person." Taeyong claimed confidently. Your head shot towards him in confusion and concern.

Don't worry, you know I can't die. His words danced around your head as he spoke to you without opening his mouth.

Yeah, but can an already supernatural being act as a medium for the séance?

Of course.

"Who are we going to talk to?" Jade asks and nervously wraps her arms around her body in terror.

No one had an answer to that question. This séance thing was all too sudden that nobody thought of the spirit that was going to get contacted by you all.

"Let it be my dead dad." You said quietly and a hard look appeared on Taeyong. He looked at you with darkened eyes, which drew you into him. The endless pit of darkness kept on attracting you until you felt something slide down your back. Chills.

"Y/N," Taeyong spoke, grasping your knee so tightly that it started to hurt. Even though he wasn't speaking to you in your mind, neither he was saying it out loud but you knew the tone of his voice held a thousand meanings.

1:30 AM

Everyone held hands to form an unbroken connection throughout the ceremony. Xaevien's eyes searched through each hand, making sure that everyone had their hands grasped onto one another. "We have to chant in unison to summon Y/N's dearly departed dad."

After everyone decided on what to say, the same thing was repeated for a few times. Now, you had to wait for a response.

The room remained silent except the terrifying sound of thunder and everyone's fastened breathing.

Nothing.

"If you are in Taeyong's body, tap two times for 'yes'." Wexler announced. Taeyong was still, his hold on your hands was tight and warm.

You had been experienced with all this, so it didn't scare you as much as it did to the others. As much as you wanted to be impatient—or even bored— all you felt was that paranoia again. That certainty, that you were being watched.
