This is it.

Zen couldn't help thinking about the dreams; as he descended the building, his mind was not truly focused on the task at hand but more about his own well-being.

They wish to destroy you, the voice in his dreams had said. Your fate was never to live.

The dreams of a sorcerer must never be taken lightly.

He could feel it in his bones, the fear of dying and knowing that he might be moving towards his own death, made him feel sick.

But as he landed, from his descent, he saw the boy running towards the Dragon, no plan, no advantage.

How can he be so careless when he knows he might die? Zen stared bewildered.

As much as he wanted to run away, he couldn't let a foolish little boy runoff after a Dragon, he also couldn't let the Dragon in question set fire to the hospital.

Despite his fear trying to gain control of his body and turn him away, he put Miss Georgia down and ran in the direction of the Dragon.

The entire Crescent was a flat stretch of land, 18 miles long; the hospital was at the very end of the Crescent, from either end on a clear day you can see the other end perfectly fine. The Dragon was already three quarters of the way there.

It paraded down the street blowing fire continuously at everything for no real reason.

Zen turned to the north to see how the other hunters were fairing with the fires. The sky over that section of the town looked like a storm was rolling in; the way the smoke blanketed the sky.

He was glad to see them pulling people out of the burning buildings, and the town doctor tending to the injured, Miss Georgia was running towards them , so Zen knew that backup would soon arrive. With Ms.Georgia's voice, they would hear the situation long before they saw her.

Finally he turned to the south, the direction of the Dragon, once more. He channeled his energy into his legs and closed the distance between him and the Dragon.

It was no longer rampaging down the road; instead it was prancing around in circles, breathing fire up into the air. For a second Zen thought the Dragon was losing it.

Then he saw the eagle; it was glowing white and about four times larger than it should've been.

That's the kid.

The Eagle made a dive for the Dragon, landing on its head. Zen heard Painful sizzling sounds as he saw sparks fly from the tip of the Dragon's nose. The Dragon unleashed more fire, but the eagle retreated to the safety of the sky.

The Dragon spread its wings in an attempt to follow the eagle, but Zen was close enough now to see that its wings were-thank God-to damage to fly.

Nevertheless, the Dragon had tricks to make up for its inability to soar.

It pointed its mouth towards the sky, and instead of a column fire, it breathed out a mushroom cloud.

A wide, expanding ring of flames burned a good 50 feet up into the air.

The eagle disappeared, in an intense flash of fire.

Zen stopped in his tracks, shut his eyes and hid his face with his arms. The glow of the fire still shined through his eyelids.

The flames were 50 feet up, and 60 feet away, but the heat blistered his skin.

When he opened his eyes again, he was alarmed to see that his long-sleeved white shirt was on fire.
