To wonder how someone grieved, or how someone got to the place in there life is a waste of time. People have to learn to deal and grow from there mistakes and there losses. I believe the people should stop wasting time thinking about this stuff and make those mistakes happen.
That's why I'm in Montana instead of Florida. I made some pretty bad mistakes just like every other teenager but unlike them I didn't have the option to prove myself to my mother after my mistakes.
She was gone before I had the chance.
I pull up in front of my dads house. The last time I was here was a year ago, on Christmas.
I was sixteen then.
Mom and Dad had just divorced. Dad moved back to wear he grew up taking my twin brother Zach with him. Mom kept me, she thought it was for the best. It probably was then but now she is dead. I moving here the dad a day before my senior year starts.
"Riley," my Dad called running towards the car.
"Hey Dad" forcing a smile while hugging him.
"Zach get out here and welcome your sister home," he wraped his arm around my waist.
"I'm coming, I'm coming," Zach walked down the stone path barefooted.
It seems weird to look at him. Less than six months ago he was average teen beach boy. Blonde hair a his muscular jaw and blue eye and a pig headed attitude. Looking at him now I could tell things had changed. He was still had that beach look but he looked older, maybe even wiser. Then I saw it. My brother was fit. It was weird he used to be scrawny now he is a man. My little brother by two minutes was a bad ass.
"I'm sorry kiddo but I have to bolt. I wish I didn't have to work but the cases have been coming in like crazy," my Dad said before kissing my forehead. "Zach show your sister around,"
He said while handing Zach two of my many suitcases.
"So what's new?" I questioned Zach after we watched my Dad drive away.
He filled me in on the details. Dad had become the sheriff. I also had moved into football country. But my tired mind had drifted to one subject. Josh.
