The sky was a dark, gloomy color. Not the kind of sky you would have a picnic under. It smelled like it was going to rain, which matched the theme of the sky.

The three of us, plus Ijichi, we're standing in front of a juvenile detention center. Definitely not something you happy vibes from. There was a cold breeze, causing me to shiver. Today was one of those days I wish I had worn leggings. Especially the fleece-lined ones.

I stared blankly at the building. Today would be a perfect day to sit back and read some of the new manga I got. I sighed. Well, this is what I signed up for when I became a Jujutsu Sorcerer.

"Definitely a curse womb," Ijichi said, bringing me back to reality. "Or Window verified that about three hours ago. Once 90% were evacuated, the decision was made to seal off the center. All citizens within a 500-meter radius have been evacuated as well."

"I uhh... have a question," Itadori said, raising his hand. "What's a 'Window'?"

Ijichi answered him. "It's an in-house term for unique members of Jujutsu Tech who can see curses. But they aren't Sorcerers."

"Oh, ok," the boy replied.

"Let's continue," Ijichi said.

I stretched my arms above my head. If it rains, the wrapping on my arm will melt off. That's annoying. I shook my head, trying to pay attention.

"Detainee block two. A present: five detainees are still inside, along with the curse womb," Ijichi stated. "If the curse womb is the type that metamorphose, we predict it will become a special grade cursed spirit."

Special grade!? I thought, surprised.

"Why would they send a bunch of 1st years to a place with a special grade cursed spirit?" I asked.

"Hey, so... I still don't really understand what this 'Special grade' thing is," Itadori said.

I smiled. Honestly, it's kinda nice to have someone that doesn't know anything about curses. Though... I don't think Megumi and Kugisaki agree. I turned to them as they groaned in annoyance.

"It's not too complicated; see-" I started but was interrupted... again.

"Alright, allow me to explain it idiot level," Ijichi interrupted.

'Idiot level' is a little harsh. No one even told him what it was in the first place! You just expect him to automatically have that knowledge?

"Do you understand?" Ijichi asked after finishing his explanation.

"That is bad!" Itadori exclaimed.

"Normally, a Sorcerer on par with the cursed spirit would be able to handle this," Megumi said. "And in this case, that would have been Gojo."

The image of the tall, carefree man flashed through my head. For all we know, he could be on vacation on the other side of the world, sitting back and relaxing.

"Well, that figures," Itadori replied. "So, where is Gojo then?"

"Away on business," the raven said.

"Or drinking wine in Paris," I whispered. Itadori and Kugisaki laughed at my comment.

"A guy like him has better things to do than loaf around the school anyways," Megumi sighed.

"Unfortunately," Ijichi said, walking closer to us. "We're often short-handed in this business. You'll often have to take on missions beyond your expertise." He readjusted his glasses, meaning he was getting serious. "However, this current case is an urgent one and a most abnormal one. So no matter what, don't fight. And if you should encounter any special grades, you run, or you die."
