(12-year old (Y/n) POV)

I was tightly holding onto Panda's neck as we walked around the school. It was a warm afternoon; a slight breeze ruffled my (H/c) locks.

Gojo thought it was about time I got my own room. He was moving all my stuff today. ('He' meaning 'Gojo sat there and had the assistants do all the work') It'll be strange knowing Panda won't be there to protect me. Principle Yaga made Panda and I share a room ever since a knife came flying through my window. I never gave it much thought.

I laid my head on top of the furry, talking animals. "Panda? Will you miss me?"

He let out a gruff laugh. "Sure, but we'll still be able to see each other every day," he said.

I smiled. "I know! But I'll still miss you!" I said, jumping off of him and skipping on rocks across a stream. "I'm still scared, though..."

Panda tilted his head. "You'll be across from Megumi, so if anything happens, he'll call Gojo," he reassured.

I picked up a rock a skipped it on the water. "But what if Megumi gets hurt? It would be my fault."

I felt a hand on my shoulder, or should I say paw? "I'm sure everything will be fine; you don't have to worry so much."

I looked at him and then back at the stream. I punched the air in front of me. "I promise, if Megumi, or anyone, is in danger, I'll do my very best to keep them safe. I swear on my life!"

No one spoke. It was so quiet the only thing you could hear was creaking from the pipes and our footsteps.

Demon dog stopped at a corner. Megumi had his back against the wall as he peeked around. We walked into a dark room with a foul stench. I put my hand over my nose as my eyes adjusted.

Itadori let go of my hand and ran to something that was lumped by the wall. I slowly crept behind him. He stopped abruptly, a look of horror on his face. I followed his gaze, regretting it immediately.

The top half of one of the detainees was propped against the wall, a glazed, lifeless look in the corpse's eyes. There was a ball of flesh and bones lying next to it. It was a gruesome scene.

My eyes widened, a sickening in my stomach. I fell to my knees and felt the lunch I had not too long ago come up.

"Horrible..." Kugisaki whispered, tugging in her sleeves.

Megumi rushed over to me, taking my hand to help me up. I turned away from the scene, feeling sick every time I looked at it.

"Looks like... three victims, right?" Megumi asked Itadori.

"...Let's take this body back with us," Itadori said.

I whirled around to see him touching the shoulder of the body. I put my hand over my mouth. I'm sure if I said anything, I'd end up hurling instead.

"This is that woman's son," he confirmed.

"But-" Kugisaki started.

"His face isn't too mangled. How will she accept his death... if we can't show her a body to prove it?" Itadori said, cutting off the ginger.

He keeps insisting we take the body. But if we run into the curse, we'd end up dead as well. I thought.

Next thing I knew, Megumi had disappeared from my side and was yanking Itadori away by his hood.

"We still have to find and verify two more. Leave that body behind," Megumi demanded.

"That makes no sense! The way we got inside isn't even there anymore! We won't be able to come back later!" Itadori yelled.
