(Muichiro's pov)
There wasn't a lot of bones in the pile, so it was much more easier to get off of.
Y/n's words flashed back into my brain.
"You didn't know? Wouldn't you have noticed something in your dream?"
It was scary. All I could say was that it was scary.
A helpless body laying on the floor. Being told you failed to protect someone you cared for dearly. I thought you left me Y/n.
The pit was slightly lightened by 2 or 3 candles.
There was a dark hallway down that reeked a bad smell.
Y/n took a few steps toward.
"Should we go-" She turned her head at me then ran. "MUICHIRO- BEHIND-"
I unsheathed my sword and turned my head around to face an unpleasant sight.
Once I swung my sword at the demon, it's head popped off and oozed purple liquid.
I was quite startled and took a few breaths before calming down.
Y/n ran to me.
The way she ran to me seem to flash a blurry memory. Everything went into slow motion, her yell and her reach for me as she ran.
"A-are you okay?!" She asked with a worried tone.
"Yeah, are you?"
"I'm all good."
She motioned her hands to my face and wiped my cheek.
"There's something on your cheek don't move."
Her touch gave me a warm feeling that I couldn't describe. It made me feel happy, but relaxed and positive...
"AGHHH YOU STUPID DEMON SLAYERS WONT LEAVE ME ALONE!!" A scratchy voice yelled, causing the floor to shake.
There had been no appearance of a demon, but Y/n and I still gripped onto our sword tightly.
Suddenly a black sand texture piled onto the floor, grabbing Y/n's legs first.
Quickly, she took her sword and cut it, then swung it into a circle before holding it back to her fighting position
All the sand scattered away, but instantly invaded Y/n's arm.
She shook it off with all her strength.
The scratchy voice came from the dark hallway, so I pulled Y/n behind me.
"AHAHA!! WANNA KNOW WHY I'M ONLY TARGETING THAT GIRL?" The demon cackled. "I WANT TO TAKE AWAY SOMETHING YOU CARE FOR. YOU SEE, I BARGED INTO YOUR MEMORIES AND FOUND OUT SOME THINGS YOU PROBABLY DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT YOURSELF!! I CAN TELL YOU CARE FOR THIS GIRL MORE THAN YOU CARE FOR YOURSELF."
"Shut... up. Stop being a pussy and come fight." Y/n teased.
Before we could move, a pale looking demon slide right behind Y/n.
Y/n moved faster and jumped right behind the demon.
"W-WHAT- HOW!"
As the demon turned to look for Y/n, I sliced the demon's head off.
The demon didn't fade away in ashes, but to sand.
"IDIOTS!! I'M THE SAND DEMON, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU TRY TO CUT ME, I'M UNSTOPPABLE!!" He roared.
"Ugh, honestly I find you very annoying and dumb." Y/n said looking at her nails.
"Brave for you to say that YOU LITTLE BRAT!"
The demon disappeared and hovered over Y/n, who seemed unbothered.
"What a waste of my skills."
A sword flew before my eyes.
The sand demon fell into a small pile.
"NOW MUICHIRO!" She yelled.
I knew exactly what Y/n had meant so I nodded my head.
"Fifth form: Sea of Clouds and Haze." I whispered.
Once the demon returned to his original shape, I charged at him at high speed and unleashed a ridiculous amount of slashes with waves of mist.
"ACK-"
"You see, you may have an advantage over us, but WE have a mind to use. Sand has a weakness and it's weakness..." Y/n said, walking slowly to the pile of mud.
I sheathed my sword back in.
"Is water."
